I had S&S for my property in *********. Not a single thing I asked to be done was done. If you choose to have them manage your property then be prepared to have to manage them and your property.Stars & Stripes Homes, Inc.

We were hired to manage the property on September 22, 2022 and you took over management on November 1, 2023. The tenants that were procured for you stayed in the property following the end of our management. After reviewing all communication from you during our management, we have not found any outstanding requests from you regarding any work to the property that was not completed. All work needed was brought to your attention in a timely manner and was then approved or denied based on your discretion. We do have a handful of items that were suggested for repair such as dead tree(s) in the backyard and deteriorating shed that we did not receive approval from you to address following maintenance requests from the tenants.
During our time as your property management company, we assisted with and coordinated a full kitchen remodel, numerous interior repairs such as storm repairs, window replacement, mailbox installation, as well as deep cleaning to get the property into a rentable condition. At no time, did you voice concerns of our management. We would have been happy to address any concerns had they been brought forward.Review fromDeb V

We are so grateful to **** and her team for being so helpful and responsive with any issues that arose with the house. **** was also very helpful and as accommodating as possible as we had to keep extending our lease. We had a wonderful experience with S and S and found the whole team responsive and professional. It has been some time since we rented, and they made the process easy and comfortable, even on things that should be simple but were hard for us. I found them professional and responsive in all matters, and their on-line system made things very easy. When we needed some flexibility for changing life circumstances, they were more than ready to help with suggestions and guidance. ****** is extremely unprofessional. When he gets upset about something he can get personal. He ridiculed my parenting and my children to try and drive a point that only benefited him. This kind of unprofessional behavior has happened on many occasions. A property managers duties should not include the personal decisions of a parent and children and to ridicule a client about such is unethical in every way. He failed to perform a walkthrough after contracting with my private landlord and is now trying to threaten to evict me from information he is finding out 1.5 years later. He is also trying to force me to get rid of my certified service animal or one of my other already approved animals (at the time the lease was signed) and if I don't comply, I will be evicted.Do NOT rent with this company! There is no professional conversations. Just personal attacks and threats that only benefit him!!!!Stars & Stripes Homes, Inc.

I have Managed this Home since Oct 2022. I received the Home thru a request from the Owner, who had started to have challenges with this Tenant and did not know how to move forward legally. Since Managing this Home for 18 months our Company has responded to 22 Work Orders and completed 22 of them. The Company has the Invoices to prove this statement. The Tenant has incurred 8 NSFs, totaling $315.00, that have been paid by the Company, not the Tenant. This Tenant in 18 months has paid the Rent on time and fully only twice. This Tenant has 4 animals in the Home, where Aurora City Zoning only allow 3. There is no documentation that the company has received, that these animals are *** approved. There are 10 Persons living in a 4 Bedroom Home. This Tenant does not Leash or Kennel her animals when our Vendors go into the Home, putting our personnel at risk. The Walk Thru that the Tenant describes, was not completed due to the challenging situation that lead me to take over Management. These ranged from the Tenant not being home due to work, child sickness and COVID fears and numerous other stipulations that the company has Email responses from the Tenant to prove this to be true. The Tenant uses the term "unprofessional" twice and uses "personal" three times. The company I work for, I am proud to work for. We strive to welcome all and place the right people with the right homes. This is however a Business, first and foremost. Personal and Unprofessional is not how I see my behavior in this very challenging situation. The Tenant has sort to emotionally and ethically bring into question my character. 5 starsWhile reading through some of the reviews on the different sites, I have to reread some things that are very negative because throughout twelve years of *********************************************** managing our home, we have had zero issues. As landlords, we actually control what the property managers can and can't do within the law. It is our responsibility to question the condition of our property if there is lack of communication.The three property managers (***************************, ************************************************* we worked with were knowledgeable about the market and upkeep so that our home remained highly desirable. Every time there was an issue, I was notified first, unless it was an emergency, and the management company handled the repair per my instructions. After every bad hail storm, S&S called to say that they would like to have my roof inspected for any damage. Then, they and my tenant were amazing during the full replacement that was required while I was **** miles away. I HIGHLY recommend ***********************************************.I'd like to especially thank ***********************, my final property manager, for her expertise and care in helping us sell the property when we were ready. She handled everything from start to finish. She put in many hours answering my many questions, probably twice. Every business she chose for the process was in communication with both of us during the process. All of her recommendations helped us to close on this property within 60 days of listing the property. I am a seasoned homeowner who was terrified of using a property management company. **** immediately put me at ease with her expertise in ALL things *********************. When you invest with Stars and Stripes you are not only choosing a front running property management company, but a skilled realtor who genuinely cares for her clients and their homes. **** addresses questions, explained processes and was a master communicator. I will be purchasing another property for her and her firm to manage in the future. We worked through challenges effectively and efficiently which I really appreciated. While selling a property in ****** with **** I was simolitanously purchasing a home in another state. I was impressed at the professionalism **** demonstrated as she cooperated so well with the purchasing team clear in **! She handled it all from start to finish and made the process painless. 1 starS&S property mgmt suggested maint items--paint MB, stretch carpet taking out wrinkle in hallway. After taking back possession of unit the wrinkle was still in the carpet and paint did not go from ceiling to base board. After bringing up concerns my acct was credited. Before taking back possession they implied carpet replacement, but did elaborate or send pics. I knew the carpet condition and it was unlikely tenants could destroy carpet. S&S receives 10% of cost of maintenance/repair fees, so they are quick, in my opinion, to recommend work.Over several months I had unit painted and other misc work waiting for new appliances. Carpets were re-cleaned as it was dingy from workers being in-and-out. The carpet cleaner uncovered large spots in the dining/living room. It appeared spots were covered with, what I have since learned, carpet paint. Tremendous amts of pet hair was extracted, and smell of animal from wet carpet was horrendous. According to the contract no pets allowed. I contacted S&S about spots and they indicated it was too late as they refunded tenants deposit and indicated they would have their ins co contact me. After several months not hearing from ins co, I contacted S&S and was given ins cos #. Still no resolution after several emails, then able to talk to person who indicated there was no claim. At this point, I reached out to the ********************************************* of *********** as I strongly felt the mgmt/real estate co was being deceitful. Their conclusion was ***************** agreement does not call for property inspections or visits...Why is a deposit collected from a tenant if the property is not inspected prior/after tenants move in/out.?READ YOUR CONTRACT!I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH S&S AS THEY ARE UNETHICAL AND CORRUPT, AND TARGET THE TRUST OF MILITARY MEMBERS, MISLEADING THEM WITH THEIR IMPLIED INTEGRITY STEMMING FROM THEIR OWN MILITARY BACKGROUNDS. THEY ARE WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING. BEWARE!!!!
