I visited this dealership on 7/23 to view a car I was interested in. I was unable to test drive the vehicle before I purchased it because quote it is "too fast of a vehicle". I proceeded to purchase the vehicle and after the paperwork was finalized I was made aware the vehicle had illegal modifications such as a downpipe and tune as of which was never disclosed to me prior to purchase. I took the vehicle in to Aircare colorado and the vehicle failed emissions. It is a 2019 which is technically exempt from emissions until 2026, but if I wouldn't of done that I would've been out thousands more dollars down the road for repairs just to keep it registered. Aircare referred me to go to the State ************************** for further evaluation and their results showed multiple infractions against state emissions standards. I was informed by the agency that the dealer sold me a vehicle that is illegal for me to be driving. I feel I have been scammed and this dealer has committed fraud against me. According to the vehicle inspection report the vehicle has software that is not approved for on road use. The catalyst monitor is not supported. The vehicle had its two downstream catalytic converters removed. The technical center is unable to determine the status of the two warm up three way catalytic converters. Judging by the tail pipe 5 gas readings, they are either non existent, or the unapproved software is providing far worse than expected readings. I cannot believe this dealership is selling these types of cars to consumers and getting away with it. The dealership is only willing to fix repairs or sell me another vehicle. With the experience I have had within the past (3) days I want nothing to do with them and I don't want them having my business as they took advantage of me and still is continuing to do so. I want to return car, get my refund, and get back the car I traded into them for $1,500.00. I don't see how this is fair business tactics or practices.
