      The young man, ******, who did our furnace work today was efficient. He explained and showed me what needed fixing and then fixed it. He was pleasant and polite but professional as well. Because of him I will always use IMS in the future!**** ***** Windsor

      They tried to sell me a $63 dollar part for FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. I don't know if that included installation, we didn't get that far. I obtained the part elsewhere, took me about $10 dollars worth of tools, and five minutes to install it. I would give them MINUS 5 stars for ripping people off like that.

      Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Upon reviewing the specifics of your system during our initial visit, ************** identified an issue with the igniter that was previously replaced. It's important to note that after consulting with Trane Support, the manufacturer of your furnace, it was recommended that to mitigate the recurring replacement of the igniter, a conversion from an 80-volt system to a 120-volt system would be necessary. This required the installation of a specialized conversion kit, which regrettably incurs a cost significantly higher than a standard replacement igniter.The estimate provided to you encompassed not only the cost of the conversion kit but also the associated labor charges for its installation. We could not, in good conscience, only replace the ignitor knowing it would fail again in the future.

      We had the main HVAC system in our home (one of two systems) replaced and did careful comparisons of estimates provided by 5 companies in the area here (********, **). We chose IMS even though they were in ******** over the ones in ********. In a nutshell IMS has an honesty that is rare these days. We selected a top of the line Carrier residential system which is complex to say the least. They were onsite when they said they'd be here, completed the removal of the old system and installation of the new one in 2 days. No problems, they took care to keep everything clean and orderly, they even came back a year later when another company that we called for yearly maintenance tried to tell us that a major component needed to be replaced. We rejected that claim and called IMS to do it instead - and they did it at no cost to us. The other company was going to charge us over $1500 for something that was still under warranty, and, was perfectly fine. Bottom line is that IMS is honest, capable, and takes care your HVAC system as they would their own. We've recommended them to all of our friends and neighbors that needed HVAC service or replacements.
