I contracted with Chambers Mechanical 05/23/21 to install new construction HV** system. Paid contract in full on 11/17/21 when all work was completed except for charging/balancing of ** system. **************** requested to do that in spring 2022. On 11/17/21 we paid an additional $728 to **************** for materials for a garage heater. He also was to insulate the return air duct work on the furnace, to address the extremely loud banging noises and vibration on each start up.On 12/09/21, when asked to address the warranty/noise issues and install the garage heater, he became angry and slammed the phone down. We have made multiple attempts by phone, text and email to contact **************** since 12/10/21 with no response at all.We had to hire another HV** contractor to inspect/diagnose the noise/vibration issue and paid them $262.50. They found several areas of improperly installed equipment: a) inadequate sizing and insulation of the return air, and b) improper location of the exhaust and air intake for the gas furnace, which is just 10" above the ground and requires constant snow shoveling to keep clear. We are now without anyone to provide the standard 2 year warranty on our new system, and other contractors we've contacted don't want to get involved and give us service. We will also have to find and pay someone to charge the ** system side in the spring, fix the improper duct work and venting, and either re-install or fix all exterior exhaust vents for bathrooms, fans and dryer which make noise when the wind blows due to poor quality or poor installation.We are requesting: the return of the $728.00 we paid for materials that we have not received, $262.50 paid to Cooling Air to diagnose the system issues, $400.00 to charge and balance the ** side of the system in the spring, and $300.00 to address the exterior exhaust vents, and $2,000.00 to address ducting and any additional warranty work needed for a total of $3,690.50.
