Received call from ******************* from *** Mediation Services. that I need to be available from 12-5pm and have a valid forms like ID and a witness to serve me at my job and if they don't get me at my job they will be stopping by my home and I still need those valid documents and a witness. They call 3-4 times a day. its really annoying especially when you are working.Business Response

We have had issues in the past with a company using the name LCS Mediation or just LCS that appears to engage in the type of behaviors described and have reported it to multiple states' attorneys general. Recently, we have also been made aware this company may be using the name *************** Services or a shortened version of our name as just LCS Financial. We are not affiliated with any of these companies and are attempting to contact them regarding use of our trademarks. Based on recent information from another consumer, we believe the party likely making contact with this consumer is *************** Services, LLC based out of *******. Our office has filed a complaint with the ******* ************************** as beyond the use of a name confusingly similar to ours, the reported behavior does pose a risk to consumers. We encourage investigation into this company. On March 18, 2024, this company LCS Mediation Or LCS Collection Services called my cellphone stating her name was *******************. I need to give her a call back regarding documents they have on file that require my signature immediately and I will need to be available between the hours of 12 to 5 pm assuming that you will be at work around this time, they will be stopping by there first I need to be available with two valid forms of ID and a witness. Understand if we serve you at your job you will need your supervisor manager or someone from the HR department to sign off as a witness for me. Also, she said if they don't get me at my job they will be stopping by my home and will still need two forms of ID and a witness if I have any further questions or if I would like to place a stop order on this service contact your filing party immediately at **************. the phone number this lady ******************* called me from is ************** and left the above voice message.Business Response

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond. Our office maintains that the account in question is due and owing, as all documents contain the consumer's name and address as he provided in this complaint and were all sent by the original creditor for electronic signature at the email address he provided in this complaint. Our office has sent the legally required documentation to validate the consumer's account and notes that this office is not required to send specific documentation at the consumer's request. Further, this office notes that the consumer's request was made well outside of the FDCPA's 30-day validation period, as the initial contact with the consumer was made in April 2023 and the consumer's request was dated November 2023. We have noted the consumer's continuing dispute and will comply with all our legal requirements regarding the consumer's account. I keep getting calls from LCS Mediation Services ************** and they state they are serving me papers at my work and I need to be there between **** and if I am not there they will come to my home and to call a number back to "opt out" or discuss. They never say a name, it is a recording. They are calling my spouse and he called back (to a different number) and they stated they are looking for me. I have heard this company is a scammer and so I have not called back. As far as I know I do not have anything unresolved. If it is a legit company, then why do they not call themselves and tell you WHO you owe a debt to and from when.Business Response

This company has contacted me and my family members stating they are looking for me for an investigation and background check. As if they are the Police doing an investigation on me. This is not true, they are lying and attempting to intimidate other people and leaving threatening messages on my phone and my family members. I want them to cease and desist.
