Apple Tabloids, LLC started business with EPS in October of 2023 and its been downhill from there. They will overcharge your account and turn you in to collection for 10 times the amount to keep you out of business. Be Aware.Customer Answer
Date: 05/31/2024
In the November 2023 statement Apple Tabloids, LLC only had one
chargeback in which EPS charged us for two chargebacks. The amount
that is in call for $324.74 and a $***** chargeback fee which Apple
Tabloids LLC didn't not receive. Apple Tabloids, LLC will like this
amount to be subtracted for the Principled Amount owed. (See our
November 2023 statement attachment below) Midwest Fidelity was
retained for balances after this date. If there are questions these
should be addressed separately and directly with EPS.
Apple Tabloids, LLC Answers:
Midwest Fidelity had Apple Tabloids, LLC to email in the November 2023
statement and charge back credit to show that we won the chargeback.
At that point Apple Tabloids, LLC saw that we were overcharged for an
extra chargeback and chargeback fee. We have requested to be refunded
the overcharge amount and EPS never processed the credits to Apple
Tabloids, LLC. Apple Tabloids, LLC has made many attempts to speak
with EPS and was told Apple Tabloids, LLC has to speak with Midwest
Fidelity moving forward. That Midwest Fidelity is acting as collection
offices over the contract agreement November 2023 falls under the
contract agreement. Apple Tabloids, LLC is requesting that Midwest
Fidelity ask for the chargeback paperwork for the amount in call of
324.74.
January 2024 Apple Tabloids, LLC didn't have 10 Chargebacks. Apple
Tabloids, LLC only had 4 chargebacks. We would like the additional
subtracted from the Principal Amount. 6 chargeback fees are owed back
to Apple Tabloids, LLC in the amount of $150.00. (See our January 2024
statement below) EPS records indicate 10 chargebacks. If you have
evidence of only 4 chargebacks please provide as soon as possible.
Apple Tabloids Answers:
Apple Tabloids was canceled out of the processing agreement on
01/16/2024. At that time Apple Tabloids funds were held and at the
time ******************* account balance was low to the point that we
couldn't cover the charge back balances. So the chargebacks you have
are all the chargebacks that Apple Tabloids ever had. So for January
2024 Apple Tabloids only had the chargeback for ******* which was 5
transactions.
5 transactions @ ***** is 1***** not ******. As Apple Tabloids has
stated at the close of the account Apple Tabloids, LLC didn't pay any
of the chargeback and EPS only turned in 5 transactions for the
chargeback of *******. Apple Tabloids, LLC understands that we won the
chargeback but still owe the 5 chargeback fee but it's not in the
amount of 10.
As of 01/18/2024 $****** was held by the *********** and this amount
needs to be Subtracted from the Principal Amount. (See our January
2024 statement below) The balance that Midwest is retained for was
already adjusted prior to
placement.
Apple Tabloids Answers:
On EPS final Apple Tabloids attachment invoice doesn't show any credit
of the amount of ******. The ****** was not credited. Because EPS
turned to Midwest the amount of ******* to the Credit Reporters and
Apple Tabloids, LLC file fraud on the collection amount Midwest
changed the Balance amount owed cause Midwest couldn't show forward
proof of the billed amount of *******. Because Midwest had to change
the balance amount for fraud that Apple Tabloids, LLC placed with the
credited reporters, Midwest dropped the balance to ******** which was
2,767 in fraud charges. As of 05/30/2024 Midwest is still reporting
the collection balance of ***** on Apple Tabloids, LLC when it was
acknowledged
the balance amount is ********. Please show by invoice that the ******
was subtracted because it was never posted on any invoice process to
Apple Tabloids, LLC.
February 2024 Apple Tabloids, LLC didn't have 11 Chargebacks. Apple
Tabloids, LLC only had 5 chargebacks. We would like the additional
subtracted from the Principal Amount. 6 chargeback fees are owed back
to Apple Tabloids, LLC in the amount of $150.00. (See our February
2024 statement below) EPS records indicate 11 chargebacks. If you
have evidence of only 5 chargebacks please provide as soon as
possible.
Apple Tabloids, LLC Answers:
All chargebacks for the month of February 2024 were turned in to
Midwest as unpaid which is true. The number of chargebacks doesn't not
come out to 11 chargebacks, it comes out to 5 transactions. All
Midwest has to do is count each transaction by the chargeback invoices
they have to see that Apple Tabloids, LLC has been overcharged.
Apple Tabloids, LLC should be refunded for 5 Dispute Resolution @
$35.00 each because the chargeback is called we won in January 2024
which is the chargeback amount of ******* which EPS has already
validated. Apple Tabloids, LLC would the amount of $175.00 subtracted
from the Principal Amount. (See our February 2024 statement below)
Gathering more information from our client.
Apple Tabloids Answers:
The 5 Dispute Resolution were billed out in the March 2024 statement.
Apple Tabloids, LLC doesn't owe any card brand fee due to no
processing volume and the account was closed as EPS ***********s ****
****** stated in January 2024. Card brand fees were $11.35 which Apple
Tabloids, LLC would like subtracted from the Principal Amount. (See
our February 2024 statement below) Will gather and confirm the actual
closed date.
Apple Tabloids LLC Answers:
Apple Tabloids, LLC account with EPS was closed 01/2024. Midwest shows
that the account has been in the hands since 12/2023 which is not true
because Apple Tabloids, LLC has a January 2024 statement which shows
Apple Tabloids, LLC was processing with EPS in January 2024. Which
shows that Midwest is entering incorrect information to the credit
reporters.
March 2024 Apple Tabloids, LLC was charged for 5 chargebacks in the
amount of $1***** in which Apple Tabloids, LLC didn't have any
chargebacks. Apple Tabloids, LLC would like this amount subtracted
from the Principal Amount. (See our March 2024 statement attachment
below) EPS records indicate all chargebacks. If you have evidence
please provide. If requesting all chargebacks that were paid please
request directly with EPS. This is outside the Midwest purview.
Apple Tabloids, LLC Answers:
There is no chargeback paperwork turned in to Midwest by EPS for any
chargeback for the month of March 2024 for collection which shows that
Apple Tabloids, LLC didn't have any chargeback for the month of March
2024.
The only credit Apple Tabloids, LLC has received from EPS through
Midwest Fidelity LLC is the chargeback amount of ******** on May 23,
2024. All the rest of the incorrect billing amount was emailed to
Midwest Fidelity LLC after May 23, 2024 which has not been subtracted
from the Principal Amount. This credit was researched and found to be
an accounting error that was duplicating the amount of $*******. We
researched and credited the amount due to the bona fide error.
When Midwest Fidelity removes a charge off of the Principal Amount
they send an email updating the agreed remove amount and also attach a
new letter of collection. (See Validation attachment and Balance
Letter. Apple Tabloids, LLC Balance Letter attachment was emailed on
May 23, 2024 after Apple Tabloids, LLC showed that the chargebacks
were won for **************************. The rest of the above incorrect billing
amount charge to Apple Tabloids, LLC was turned in to Midwest Fidelity
LLC after May 23, 2024 and has not been subtracted from the Principal
Amount of $********. I am unclear what you are asking here. We
credited the over charge.
Apple Tabloids, LLC Answers:
Apple Tabloids LLC is showing the over charge amount that was labeled
on the credit file 3 different times. The first one ***** then *****
then ******** which shows that Midwest does not verify information as
the credit reporters hold them accountable to.
Due that Midwest Fidelity LLC started out with a balance of $8500.oo
and Apple Tabloids, LLC has proved that EPS has overcharged Apple
Tabloids, LLC and misled about the chargeback in the amount of $*******.
Apple Tabloids is requesting the true chargeback paperwork the card
brand would have sent to EPS. If EPS can't show the card brand
paperwork then shows that EPS misled about the collection in full. I
don't see anything to address here directly aside from clarifying a
difference of misleading and errors. Unsure of what a "true"
chargeback paperwork is. We have provided the chargebacks we were
retained for. Again, only recovering the amounts that were unable to
be drafted from your account due to insufficient funds.
Apple Tabloids LLC Answers:
Apple Tabloids, LLC understands that Midwest is retained to collect on
outstanding chargebacks that were not paid. EPS has been shown to turn
charge backs that were won and tried to collect on the amount of
********. Apple Tabloids, LLC also has uncover that Midwest will not
review the chargeback paper against the collection amount because for
the month of March 2024 Midwest has no charge back collection invoice
by EPS but is still charging Apple Tabloids, LLC for 5 chargeback in
the month of March 2024 and don't have on collection chargeback
invoice for the month of March.
Each time a chargeback is submitted over to EPS for the card brand,
the card brand would have sent transmission on their own paperwork.
Apple Tabloids LLC is requesting the card brand paperwork that EPS
would have to show true that Apple Tabloids, LLC did truly
receive the chargebacks. If you are requesting a roll up of all of
your chargebacks (other than what we are retained for) then please
request directly with EPS. This is outside our purview.
Apple Tabloids LLC Answers:
Apple Tabloids, LLC is requesting the card brand paper work for the
chargebacks that Midwest is collecting on because Apple Tabloids, LLC
has shown that there is an overcharge problem by both offices. The
card brand paperwork will show that Apple Tabloids, LLC really
received chargebacks.
Apple Tabloids, LLC has had to put in claim to the Credit Reporters of
Fraud and has shown up to 10 times of being billed incorrectly. This
is not just a mistake! ??
Apple Tabloids, LLC Answers:
Apple Tabloids has shown up to 10 times of incorrectly being billed
and having to file Fraud on EPS and Midwest for ***** then ***** and
now ********. And for ********************* to be the owner of Midwest shows
that the top people at ******* knows what's going on and by your email
isn't doing anything about it . Midwest is not doing right when
nobody's watching and that's one of the **** to the BBB.Business Response

Thank you for the notification of the complaint from Apple Tabloids/Apple Tabloids LLC, Owner ******************************* from **********, **.
*********** was approved for services based on the information provided and agreed to by the merchant (signed by the merchant on 08/16/2023) and started processing sales in October 2023. All fees associated can be located within the agreement signed by ************. From the time the merchant started processing sales in October 2024 until the merchants account was closed in January 2024 the merchant processed a total of 88 sales for the amount of $22,743.47. In January 2024, account was cancelled due to excessive chargebacks associated with fraud. There were a total of 22 chargebacks totaling $5,776.44- 25% of sales were charged back by the cardholders due to FRAUD. As you can see in the statements provided, a significant portion of the fees (60% of the fees charged) that ************ signed agreeing to, and complaining about, are for the chargebacks presented by the cardholders as FRAUD.
Starting in January, the ************ was unable to clear the chargebacks for sales that he received deposits on in the months prior. This resulted in the merchant accumulating the uncleared chargebacks, fees and returned item fees for each of the bank returned non-sufficient funds. As of February 2024, *********** was sent to collections for the amounts returned by his bank as non-sufficient funds, returned item fees, processing fees, administration fees and collection costs.Although ************ notes in the complaint They will overcharge your account and turn you in to collection for 10 times the amount to keep you out of business. Be Aware. We would like to point out the following:
************ received over $20,000.00 in deposits from October 2023-January 2024 for sales processed.
************ processed sales that the customer/cardholder and issuing banks advised were fraudulent sales resulting in 22 chargebacks and $5,776.44 25% of Mr. ***** sales.
Due to the high amount of chargebacks for the reason of Fraud, this resulted in increased fees that would not have been charged had the merchant not received the chargebacks.
The merchant was unable to clear a very large portion of the chargebacks, that he has already received the payment on months prior.
The merchant is being charged for fees and services agreed to. The amount of the fees and the total amount that has been sent to collections is only due to the result of the merchants actions, transaction handling and his bank funds availability.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:The response from EPS is not true. Apple Tabloids, LLC sent in all statements and did not have 22 chargebacks. Apple Tabloids, LLC has updated the BBB office with all statements as well as a detail report of all the over charges EPS charge Apple Tabloids, LLC. The BBB has all Apple Tabloids, LLC and now it time for EPS to show there paperwork for these 22 chargebacks.

This is the full order of collection that EPS submitted to Midwest Fidelity LLC. You will see there were never 22 chargebacks submitted.
EPS is giving false information in regards to this matter.
Please give me a call when you get time. I would like to go over this with you, what EPS fails to understand is that my BBB office has been paying attention to this matter from the start and has seen that I have been overcharged. Their only collection is for 7 transactions not
22 transactions. They are trying their best to make my company look bad. They also tried to charge me for the ******* which Apple Tabloids, LLC won, they credit the ******* chargeback to me but it shows they will say anything. All statements are below and will show the chargeback count.

This is the tax form sent to Apple Tabloids LLC by EPS and you will see from October 2023 till December 2023 we did not process ******. At the timeline of October 2023 till December 2023 Apple Tabloids, LLC had one chargeback and we won the chargeback as of November 2023. *** also charged us on the November 2023 a chargeback in the amount of
324.74 and a ***** chargeback fee that we never received.
In January of 2024 we received the chargeback for ******* and we turned in our paperwork for the chargeback and showed the deal was good to go and they still kicked us out. The rest of the chargeback they say came in after the account was closed. The remaining 7 chargebacks is label February 2024. They froze my account and held my funding to make it to where I couldn't pay for anything.Customer Answer

By the statement EPS has stated
November 2023- 2 chargebacks which Apple Tabloids, LLC only had one.
Please have them show the chargeback for ****** which Apple Tabloids, LLC never received.
******* 2024 - 10 chargebacks which was only 5 and Apple Tabloids won the 5 chargeback which is for ************************** which was our only chargeback for ******* 2024.
February 2024- 11 chargebacks which is supposed to be 7 because it's true EPS shut off my funding and the processing of my business and Apple Tabloids, LLC couldn't pay.
March 2024- 5 chargebacks which if Apple Tabloids, LLC didn't have one chargeback. If Apple Tabloids, LLC had chargebacks for the month of March 2024 EPS would turn them in for collection to the collection office.
When adding all the chargebacks up that were placed on the statement under chargebacks the number comes out to 28 chargebacks which is not true. EPS is making up numbers as they go. What they I don't know if you and my BBB office here in ***** have all the emails from the collection office as well as EPS. Out of the 7 chargebacks they collected, the chargeback for ****** was paid. My customer call her bank and verify with me that her bank cleared the payment.Business Response

Thank you for your patience while this has been in review. Due to the many conversations with different staff between MidWest and EPS we have taken time to review and provide the detailed feedback noted below. The responses below show that the merchant is liable for the amount noted.
In the November 2023 statement Apple Tabloids, LLC only had one chargeback in which EPS charged us for two chargebacks. The amount that is in call for $324.74 and a $25.00 chargeback fee which Apple Tabloids LLC didn't not receive. Apple Tabloids, LLC will like this amount to be subtracted for the Principled Amount owed. (See our November 2023 statement attachment below)
The merchant is somewhat correct as there was only one chargeback in the amount of $219.80, of which the merchant won the dispute. However, according to repay some card brands charge chargeback fees upon chargeback rulings even if it is deemed in favor of the merchant. On 12/6/23 EPS issues a $25.00 credit as a courtesy because we believed this double billing was erroneous. SEE noted image A attachedThe merch had rec a deposit for a transaction totaling $324.74 however after fees the deposit would have been $309.35. SEE noted image B attached
January 2024 Apple Tabloids, LLC didn't have 10 Chargebacks. Apple Tabloids, LLC only had 4 chargebacks. We would like the additional subtracted from the Principal Amount. 6 chargeback fees are owed back to Apple Tabloids, LLC in the amount of $150.00. (See our January 2024 statement below)
According to elevate the merchant most certainly did have 10 chargebacks in the month of January 2024. SEE noted image C attached
As of 01/18/2024 $702.92 was held by the *********** and this amount needs to be Subtracted from the Principal Amount. (See our January
2024 statement below)This hold reserve balance was built up to $930.78 and was depleted 1/29/2024 when *** completed a partial recovery towards outstanding chargebacks.
February 2024 Apple Tabloids, LLC didn't have 11 Chargebacks. Apple Tabloids, LLC only had 5 chargebacks. We would like the additional subtracted from the Principal Amount. 6 chargeback fees are owed back to Apple Tabloids, LLC in the amount of $150.00. (See our February
2024 statement below)According to elevate the merchant most certainly did have 11 chargebacks in the month of February 2024. SEE noted image D attached
Apple Tabloids, LLC should be refunded for 5 Dispute Resolution @ $35.00 each because the chargeback is called we won in January 2024 which is the chargeback amount of ******* which EPS has already validated. Apple Tabloids, LLC would the amount of $175.00 subtracted from the Principal Amount. (See our February 2024 statement below)
Dispute resolution is not dependent on the outcome of the dispute and having been initiated for card ending 2261 in January it was billed on February statement and therefore is valid.

I would like to warn those who are thinking about getting into bed with this company to rethink it. I was told that I wouldnt have extra fees, that I could cancel anytime and that I would save money. All of this was a lie and when I tried to talk to my agent about it she said she doesnt really work for them anymore and that shes been hearing the same things. I called the company twice, the first person refused to cancel my "contract" and said that I have a 2 year lease which is false. I was assured I could cancel anytime. When I asked her to send me the contract she never sent it. I called again to ask where is my contract and she said when she received it she will send it to me right away, its been a week. I called on Friday last week and I got on the phone with someone who didnt know the situation and all I asked was for my contract and she said I needed to speak to someone. I said no I just want my contract sent to me and she kept saying I need to talk to someone. I told her just send me my contract and she said she would have someone contact me. What kind of tactic is this? I looked up the company and discovered that the owners have been in trouble with the *** and that they had to stop fraudulent practices. This was part of their stipulations. I was paying a subscription service for credit card processing fees. They did not send me confirmation of the account creation and just began charging me separately from the credit card processor. They provided me no documents and I didn't know I would be working with them until I received a bill from them. I was charged for the monthly service on 12/4/23 after I cancelled the service on 11/22/23. I have spoken with representatives in order to get help but none are willing to help me and they will actively ignore me when I start telling them what happened. During the processing time they also charged me an extra $500 for a high risk business payment but never notified me of the charge and took it from my account. I am extremely frustrated and I believe that they are just pushing me off and taking money from me.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to our offices about your concern. we received the attached application signed by the merchant August 28, ************************************** the application package there are three areas that review the required **** registration. This fee is a pass-thru fee and is charged to all merchants that have specific SIC/MCC codes. In the attached application under PRICING SCHEDULE A (top of page three) you will see the high-risk registration fee noted. This fee is noted a second time on page 13, item 7, on the merchant attestation. This fee is noted a third time on page 16, mid-page. Each of these areas have the merchant signing off acknowledging the fee(s) charged for the merchant account for their industry type. An email notification was sent to the merchant on 11/07/2023 providing notice that the fee was to be deducted.
We did receive a request to cancel the merchant account from the agent office on 11/27/2023. Although the agreement signed is a two- year term, the account is being cancelled as a courtesy.

I have a small business that I opened a credit card processing machine for in September 2019 and within a month we saw many small charges that hit our account. After seeing all the extra charges, i called the company and spoke to a lady name ***** who advice to return the machine and also write them a letter to terminate the contract. All this was done. The agent who sold us the services told me that I could end the contract anytime we needed to if we were not happy with the services. but months later they tried to collect more funds from our bank account. Few months ago, I saw that the company eps is reporting over $2k on our credit report. I called Eps to ask them to remove the report on my credit and I was told that there is nothing they could do because I Spoke ***** but once she left the company, the new account manager reported the amount to the credit agencies. They also said since it has been sent to the credit agencies a while ago, there is nothing they can do. I think this is very unfair and unethical given these were never services that were rendered. I returned the machine literally a month after having the services and they are charging us for the rest of the 2 years that they now claim was part of the contract that I am obligated to pay. I am writing to you to see how you an help with this matter as they do this to a lot of small business.Business Response

We have reviewed the merchants complaint and email attachments. In our review we see the merchant did sign a two year term for services in July 2019. From the time of the merchants approval in July 2019, they have had several calls about their account and services, even going as far as exchanging the first set of equipment sent to them for processing. After 2 months, the merchant called in to cancel services due to the business closing. On the call and the copy of the agreement provided the merchant was advised of the 2 year agreement and sending in the cancellation letter, the agreement would not end until July 2021. The merchant later called in (10/03/2019) about a charge of $78.79. It was explained that those are the fees for the processing month of September 2019. She became upset and stated she would stop pay anything from our company. The merchant used services in September 2019 and fees were due, however, the merchant did place a stop payment on these fees and they rejected back to our office in October 2019. Contact was attempted with the merchant and was placed into collections for the remainder of the agreement in November 2019 for $1855.79 plus any additional collection fees.
On June 12, 2020, the merchant contacted our office about the amount in collections and was again advised of the agreement and the remaining amount owed to us.
The merchant signed into an agreement and was placed into collections 2.5 years ago for the remainder of the agreement they had been notified about. The merchant was given opportunities to pay the amount due for monthly fees, but intended on stop paying. We are happy to work with the merchant and the collection agency on a settlement. However, there are fees due for the term of the agreement the merchant signed.
Thank you.
