I started the enrollment process for the National Institute of First Assisting Certification (NIFA-RNFA certification) as this certification was a requirement for a new nurse practitioner job I had gotten an offer for. The enrollment process was lengthy requiring several documents to be uploaded including the enrollment document, 2 letters of recommendation, and the acquisition of a new medical malpractice insurance (this was not told to me up front). I started the process of gathering these items and calling around for prices on malpractice insurance. In the interim we went out of the country for 5 days. When I returned NIFA had processed my account with only 3 of the REQUIRED 6 documents submitted (My understanding was all the required documents were to be submitted prior to enrollment). At that time I found out the job offer had been rescinded. Instead of purchasing additional insurance I called NIFA to withdrawal my interest in the program. They stated that since my enrollment paper had been uploaded (again still missing much of the needed documents) before I left the country they will not refund my money. The amount they have stolen is $6,451 for a course I am not taking, nor have an interest in pursuing without that job. Please help, this is such a large amount of money. Thank you for any assistance you can provide
