We are having problems with the shower door when in use. We had new shower and lav. put in Feb. 24. We tried to call them and found out they were out of business. We were told we have a life time warranty. We like to see if there is some who could take care of this problem for Bordner home solutions from their company. They are Accredit BBBInitial Complaint

they did install the windows and two sliding doors .The price include and more caulking needed around the windows and sliding doors and screen replacement or repair.i have a screen to be repaired .I have tried to contact them even went to where they used to have an office ,now an empty building.Initial Complaint

On 6-30-23 I had my install. It was not great. I had a shower and vanity upgrade. My shower installer didnt know what he was talking about according to the shop manager that told me a curved rod would be fine. He gave us a temp one and said someone would be back to install a permanent one. That never happened. My vanity height was measured incorrectly so its shorter than I wanted it to be but nothing could be done about it because thats what I agreed to assuming they measured correctly based of what I showed them. When my vanity arrived it was short. I was promised a cruise or vacation and never got it. I called for months after my install and I kept getting put off say someone would call me back and they never got the vacation certificates from the company. I paid $20,100 in cash. 50% upfront and the rest upon completion. I was also promised lifetime warranty and can not get in contact with anyone to get anything fixed since the shower handle keeps falling off.Initial Complaint

We had a complete kitchen make over. After work was finished problems kept coming up. At first they would address them. After waiting for over 6 months for repair I got really mad, and now just found out they went Bankrupt.!!! What good is any rating that give people good grades after 30 years in business and now we have nothing to stand on. Just out of money and have to look for repair elsewhere.Initial Complaint

I got windows installed in September 2023. The installation took a day longer than anticipated, which was fine, I understood they were understaffed and backlogged from being understaffed for so long. I was understanding. However, they did not put on the window screens for 6 windows. I don't have a long enough ladder that can reach 4 windows on the top floor and it was already getting cool, so I thought I'd install the window screens on my own in the spring/summer.As I was trying to install the window screens this past month, I realized that 2 of my upper windows do not lock properly. After realizing this, I attempted to contact Border Home Solutions. Then I realized that their *************** is no longer open. So I reached out to the design / project manager whom I was in touch with from the beginning and he never called back or texted back.It feels incredibly disorienting and disappointing that Bordner Home Solutions did not reach out to tell me that their business is closing and how to contact them. Windows ordered in June 2023 did not get installed until September 2023. Five windows have rectangular grids with long sides going up and down. One. Window has rectangular grids with long sides going horizontal. Asked them to replace that one window to comply with HOA. Never received a response. We are having windows installed by them The total amount for the Job was $34,575.00 We paid $17,250.00 , to have them ordered on 07/03/2023. The check #**** was posted 07/11/2023. The check was written from ************************ account #*********. We have contacted them many time most recently was in January 2024, when we were told that the truck that was bringing the windows from **** had an accident that damaged the windows . We were told that they were making the windows again and they should be ready the end of February. Now when we try to get a hold of them no one answers their phone. On 4/29/2023 I purchased new windows for my home in the amount of $14,850 from Border Home Solutions that were installed in my home a few months later. Part of the sales pitch and agreement is that I would receive a *********** or cruise for 2 people for my purchase. A few days later, proactively, I received communications from a 3rd party company called ********************** with all my options for travel and that I had two years to redeem. On 2/16/24 I saw on ******** that Bordner was going out of business. At that time I reached out to ********************** to make sure that my vacation package was still valid and wanted to know if I needed to book this now rather than later. The advised me that Boarder would have had to provide a redemption code or voucher to get what was promised in the sales offer and agreement. Of course, I reached out to Bordner via social media to inquire and although they viewed my messages they ignored them. A few hours later ********************** let me know that they were just pulled into a meeting and were informed of Bordner closing their doors and indicated that vouchers were never purchased for their customers, emails are now bouncing back and the phone number is not taking calls. This a clear bait and switch deal. This is several thousands of dollars that they have scammed me out of, and by the sounds of it many people. The fact that they had this third party company reach out to me proactively upon the signing of the windows gives the impression that everything was good to go and no other action was needed ESPECIALLY from the consumer about a voucher. They intentionally misled me and possibly others. I want this honored or will seek legal action.Business Response

I signed a contract on 8 Jan for a shower replacement. $5000 down payment. I was told 4-6 weeks. I haven't heard from the since, and phone calls (4) and voice mails(2) go unanswered. Emails to 3 different addresses get no response. The main phone # on their website seems to be disconnected.I think they're out of business. I am reaching out in hopes that going this route will result in some sort of a resolution for my situation. I ordered windows and one door through Bordner Home Solutions in May of 2023, after being told 6-8 weeks for installation; I patiently waited 19 weeks for my windows and door to finally be installed. When the installation occurred, the door that arrived for my house was measured improperly; making it so the independent contractor who was installing the doors recommended not to install it. That was September 16th when the windows were installed. I opened a loan for this project through BHS's recommended provider ****************** who is being serviced through ***** software platform. The loan amount is the *********. The difference for the door is about 7500-8k which I have not received still. I have contacted a total of 2 email addresses, and 7 phone numbers associated with this company and have not heard anything back. (most of these numbers have been disconnected) I am at a standstill on what I feel like I can do to come to a resolution. BHS has responded to people's reviews on ****** and confirmed that they are closing, however; I have had absolutely NO contact from them. I am worried I will be stuck with the additional 8k on my loan and never receive the door or compensation back. I would be more than happy to speak with one of your representatives at the BBB to see if there is an avenue we can approach to get in touch with the company. I am worried I will have to hire a lawyer to come to a resolution at this point. Which would be a pull of many resources for each party involved and I would much prefer to avoid that at all costs. I can upload loan documentation or pictures of my new windows and old doors to verify that the door was indeed not installed; I am willing to provide anything that will help my issue be resolved.
