These are predators praying on the naive and vulnerable people who dont know or question them. I had a drywall leak on the ceiling in my basement that was coming from my kitchen sink upstairs. I called a plumber first and he looked around and stated that the whole kitchen sink needs to be removed in order to find the "broken pipe" but before he can fix the "broken pipe" he will call Restoration 1 company to come out and look it. They arrived within minutes of him calling them. They asked me not to call myself but instead they called my home insurance company and asked to file a new claim giving them an estimate that was enormous stating that there is a "burst water pipe" somewhere under my sink and that they need to open up my basement ceiling wall and take out my entire sink cabinets and reinstall new ones afterwards. They did not want anyone from my insurance to come out and evalulate. Then they proceded to "contain the area, to prevent the mold build up" by turning on the fans and leaving them to blow for 12 hrs. 3 days later they never showed up, their fans were blowing for 3 staight days. I finally called and cancelled their further work. My insurance company sent a guy to eval under my sink and he found that all it needed was a new pull-out sink hose, I replaced it myself easily after I got it delievered from ******, there was no more leak in my basement ceiling wall. I got another contractor to fix my dry wall and it cost minimal. I highly regretgetting involved with Restoration 1 company as they still got paid by my home insurance company even though they did nothing but cause me trauma and gave me false estimates and tried to scam me and my home insurance company. Hello *******,We just received a review from you on our BBB profile. We are based in ****************, **. I think there must be a mistake. We are a locally owned and operated franchise based in ********. We don't work and have never done any work in **********. That would be a different owner/operator in your area. I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Let me know how we can help get this resolved.Thank you!Review fromErnie H

************* owned Restoration 1 during your home build and you know it cause I helped recover your previous house sold from a fire. You haven't yet called my office once my cell haven't changed once. Your architect designed a home for ******** in ******* , you have a 1/12 pitch in ********** and metal roofs in todays world are not allowed doing a 1/12 pitch cause the back up from ice dams , water intrusions ext.. We carry a huge insurance policy when issue happens which we were never aware of it cause you didn't call me. What's crazy is you were very happy at completion of the home early on had 1 electric issue and electricians were sent that was only regarding an added generator not actual a wiring issue on the home. 2nd early on was small spider cracks in the stucco which handled early on spraying the entire phone with elastomeric lifetime guarantee product. Yet no call after. What happens with builders is customers get pushed at end to get done and an 11k SF home takes time to build in a weather area yet less than a year on this one and stucco was pushed by you to do n the winter and its very risky. I personally did a ton of finish work on your home and you accusations are false. In 202 my company's were combined to survive the material crisis and stay afloat that shouldn't make anyone seem shady it was a way to keep employees and save money. I liked working with you guys and was proud of the work we did at your home. You have my # if you want to discussReview fromM. M.

1 starI don't even know where to start with this company. They came I to my house saying they co I ld get the job done quickly. That was 2 months ago and they are saying another 2 months until completion. For a water back up in my downstairs. 1 month for testi g for mold, 1 month for testing for asbestos. 1 week for the work... not 2 more months until they are done laying a floor. On top of that, They have broken thousands of dollars worth of my stuff with the comeback of ''you can't prove we touched it so we aren't paying for anything''. Never mind that they admit they moved the shelving unit they were on. By far the worst company around... Go Anywhere else if you value your home or property...Review fromLevi A

1 starThis company is ran by liars that will take your money and deliver a fraction of the quality quoted. They quoted us **** months for the project. Our project took 19 months, and the only reason it was finished at all was because we brought in another contractor to fix and then finish the work. The contractor and our project manager would regularly ignore our phone calls, texts, and emails. We believe they blocked our phone numbers. We had a house fire. They took 2 months to begin work even though they chased the fire trucks to our house. Water was sitting in our house, from the fire trucks, so long that when restoration one finally came to begin work more than 75% of everything we one was not salvageable due to water damage and mold. The mitigation crew also came in and started throwing things in our house away without contacting us. We had to dig family heirlooms out of the trash. The mitigation crew also left our house, with everything we own in it, unlocked and left the windows open over night. The few things this restoration company does without subcontracting it out is minimal. The things they do with salaried workers is amazingly poor quality with rude and unprofessional personnel. The subcontractors they use are almost all slow and poor quality. It took 7 months from beginning to end for our drywall to be finished. And for all the subcontractors that came into our home it was our job to check quality and contact them to tell them to come back to fix it. Our project manager, owners nephew, never came to check subcontractor work unless we endlessly nagged him to come (which would take days if not weeks for him to follow through). There woodworker, owners nephew, didnt know how to install a handrail. The worst thing all together, the project manager tried to blackmail us into giving them a 5 star review to get our insurance refund back from them. Yes, he texted us that. I cant leave a long enough message on this to tell you everything wrong with this company.Review fromDana G

My husband scheduled an appointment with this location. They were provided 2 telephone numbers and the gate code to my subdivision. We were out of town and they left a couple messages asking to reschedule for later in the day. We did not get these and returned the call when we got home. They never called his cell phone. On day of appointment no one called to say they were on the way. We called later in the morning to see what was going on and was told they would call the representative who was scheduled to come see us. He told them we were too far out and they could not service us. They were given an address on day one and they said they could service our location. To top it off the representative did drive all the way out to our location. Proof being a business card that was found by entrance gate. He never called us to tell us he was on the way and no one ever told us we were to far out. He was just mad he was not given the gate code. This was a rude and unprofessional way to handle this situation. Stay away from this business.Restoration 1

Unfortunately, it just looks like there was some miscommunication in regards to the first phone call that explains this frustration. To begin, the gate code was not provided to us in the initial phone call, which is why there were multiple missed calls. The morning we received a call back is when we got the gate code. When we call ahead, we usually do it 15 minutes ahead, our representative lost service 20 minutes before we arrived, unaware of where the exact location of the home. Which brings me to my next point, we do indeed service **********, but it's on the outskirts of our serviceable area radius. However, we were not informed that the home was located 50 minutes outside of the city limits. So by the time our representative received the gate code he had already been to the house and was 20 minutes away. All of that being said, had we known the actual location of the home we could have better served you by providing you with information that would have saved both parties time. I wish you the best of luck.
