      Since I was young, I have been told by my eye doctors that I have astigmatism. I visited Dr. **** at **** on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. During the appointment, I was told by the nurse (prior to seeing the doctor) that he noticed my astigmatism. During the exam, Dr. **** was friendly and informative; I was told my vision did get a little worse, but not terrible. Following the appointment, I was fitted for glasses. At this time, Dr. **** had left for the day. The lady who fitted me told me my insurance would not cover the purchase of my prescription glasses. I asked why, as my glasses last year were covered. She told me that they were covered last year due to my astigmatism being noted on the last prescription, but that the doctor forgot to put my medical condition on this years prescription, and therefore my insurance would not cover it. I reached out to ABBA eye care and was told to try the new prescription for a few weeks and if there are problems, Dr. **** could see me again for an additional fee. My insurance covers my glasses as long as my astigmatism is noted; however, the office wishes I purchase the prescription glasses out of my own pocket to try, then if there are issues I need to repay for an appointment to fix it.

      We are sorry for the inconvenience that the insurance does not cover the patients RX and have reached out to the patient and left voicemails for the patient to contact us.  We do recheck RX at no charge for our patients if needed as standard practice.  The patient can contact insurance company as well if she would like to dispute. We are currently waiting for the patient to contact us to resolve the issue. Thank you again.

      I took my daughter to **** on 7/12/23 to get her eye exam, she has gone there for many year. She had to get a new prescription and after she got them and wore them the glasses she instantly got a headache, call **** in ***** to see if they could check them and they told us that all there equipment was packed and they where moving and closing doors. We were never notify about this. If we had been I would have found a different provider so we didnt have travel and take off work or school. Took to different eye Dr and **** had the wrong prescription in her glasses. I have used my insurance on this and cant use again. So no I have to pay out of pocket so my daughter can see. **** should be sued for insurance fraud knowing they were closing there doors in *****. I have to come up with another$360 for my daughter to be able to see. Corporate companies dont care. **** is the worse place ever dont use.
