      My mother lived in memory care in the ******** facility of Balfour Senior Living and she passed away Christmas Eve, 2022. I cleaned out her apartment the following week, except for a rented hospital bed. I was surprised that rent for the month of ******* was withdrawn from her account. When I asked for a refund, I was told a 30 day notice has to be given, starting on the day of her death. I find this policy unconscionable but then was further appalled when I learned her apartment was rented out to someone else 16 days after her death (9 days into the month I supposedly paid for).The facility is beautiful, but beware. Their financial policies are exceptionally unfair and costly.
