    ******************** installed a TPO (insustrial grade-pond liner) roof with a 20 year guarantee. ******** brochure did the ******************, ***************, etc. I called ********************* from Mansville, the manufacturer, because the roof starting leaking after only nine years. ****** stated A ************** would contact me to SCHEDULE an appointment. On February 9th, 2023 a roofer from A-Preman informs he was up on my roof without my authorization. Highly UNPROFESSIONAL! I called **************** and A ****** to voice my concern. I don't want anyone up on my roof without my consent. No ac units, satelite dishes, or cables are permitted on my roof. I scheduled an appointment on Feb.20th for A-Preman to inspect the authorized and designated area. I went up with them on the roof. I have a video and pictures during the rain when it leaks. And it doesn't always leak depending on the wind, strength of rain, etc. They didn't do a water test(using actual water). I then get a bill for $650.00, and **************** tells me after the fact that if they can't find a leak I'm going to get charged, but not before the inspection. Some guarantee! Now the roof is leaking apartments #**, 12, and 13. I don't know what that initial roofer did up there without my Authorization. It wasn't leaking before. I have to reimburse the tenants for any damage to their property which can cost thousands of dollars! I'm writing to AOA(Apartment ******************* warning others not to invest in Mansville TPO pond liners. I thought I was going with the best products-industrial grade. Even ****** roofing told me most apartment owners don't invest in supposedly the best roofs.! I have elderly, children, and section 8 tenants. I want Mansville to honor their 20 year guarantee, and decease with these cheap gimmicks charging their customers unfair fees for a product they so highly recommend. I want my roof to be repaired immediately, free of charged, and to be done professionally.

    I am rejecting this response because:

     

    I have several emails from the BBB.  As I mentioned in my last one, the issue has not been resolved and it is pending.  This concerns multiple roof leaks on a 15 unit apartment complex.  I spoke briefly to a Johns Mansville representative ******************  She wanted to send out some roof techs to check out the leak.  I told her I have to consult my attorney because this has to be done correctly.  My tenants include the elderly, children, etc.  When they originally came out, some guy was walking on the roof without my authorization and without an appointment .It was only leaking in the storage room,  but I don't know what he did or didn't do.  Then, they wanted to charge me $650.00 dollars when it was authorized and didn't do a water test. So this takes time and it has to be done right. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get hold of my attorney. I included an email from ********************* who didn't tell me there would be a charge for the inspection.  I hope someone reads this email and replies back that they have received it.

    I met with our lawyer yesterday.  Because of the nature of this matter, it will take maybe two months until a resolution is agreeded to between *******************s and JohnsMansville.  As I stated, we have children, elderly and low income families residing in our building so this matter has to be handled professionally. Choosing the best companies, supposedly, and then having to go through hassles to having my 20 yr. warranty enforced is a travesty of justice.  The **** IS STILL PENDING!
