I went to MVPC on 9/27 and I had an appt with the PA ****. I was recommended to them by my physical therapist to seek a cortisone spinal injection for nerve pain. **** explained everything to me clearly and was very kind. They hadn't been able to get a hold of my insurance so I asked if I could get a same day appointment and just pay cash because I had been in so much pain. **** left the room and brought back a blue post-it note that said the cash pay amount was $1035.00. I said I was comfortable with that and so we proceeded to the front desk to confirm a time later that day. The receptionist told me that I would also be obligated to also pay for the appt with the PA and handed me another blue post-it note with $1535.00 written on it which would be the total cost I would owe for the day since I was paying cash and not going through insurance. I agreed and came back 2 hours later, paid in full and was not given a receipt. Dec 1st I receive a bill for $275.00 for an appt with the PA on 9/27. I was very confused so I called the billing office. I explained the situation and inquired why I received a bill. She said she didn't have any details other than I only paid for the injection not the appointment. I also have text messages from that day to my husband telling him the injection cost and then also the total cost prior to agreeing. The woman I spoke to in billing said she would talk to her office manager and call me back. They didn't return my call so I called again a few days later. She said the office manager said " you must have misunderstood". I asked her if she could look up in her system what the cash pay amount is for the injection I had was and she would not do that. What they communicated to me was that because I stated I did not want to use insurance, i needed to pay for everything that day in full prior to the injection which I understood the reason for that and was happy to pay in full. This was clearly a clerical error on there part.

It involves the Mountain View Pain center at **********************************************. The people at the offices are amazing like the front desk, Doctors and everyone I met. The issue is with the billing department. I got a billed twice for two bills I had already paid them. I have proof. I got the bill in Oct, 2024 in the middle of the month. I have always communicated and overpaid my bills so I was shocked I had a bill that I already paid that seems to be going to collections at the end of the month. I reached out by phone for over two weeks and had my mom go in person to try to clear things up. I tried over and over to understand the bill. No one explained where it came from. The office told me and my mom not to worry that no one can reach the billing office. It is the last day of October and I still see the bills on my account that I already paid. The company is great. The billing department is very shady and I am still scared of being sent to collections. Also, I have proof of payment, but it is not letting me upload.

The fact of the matter is i only recieved one appointment which was for a physical therapist evaluation. 10/10/2023 I took( ******'s POA) *********************** 97 years old to MVP to address severe pain that her Family practice doctor referred. her to. There were many issues 1) the facility is not very *** friendly, bathroom down hall locked or in use 2 times) after all the work to get through main door in to facility they wanted a pee sample we had just urinated while waiting, they say they can swab her mouth so no trouble with bathroom again, we waited and waited and finally they say they are out of swabs and she has to at 97 in a great deal of pain go back and get urine in a jar. We did it and it was epic and not safe. Then I asked to get the urine report and of course they did not send it to us. But they managed to send a bill for there total lack of responsibility to ******** $626.00 and send a balance to us of $33.97. I wrote and response to billing why were would not pay this amount but never heard a word they just sent a new bill. Tried calling corporate no answer. They wished us to return every 28 day for treatment, but shortly after she is now in Hospice instead of dealing with this service not designed for anyone very old in pain. I taught business at CU and my daughter is a doctor this is not how you do business. I read the other reviews and are similar complaint to mine..It if it just all about money with little caring, you will continue to get complaints.

Received bill in mail for services performed over a year from statement date, totaling $887. Did not receive any communication in 2022 about these services having patient balances. When I first went to Mountain View Pain Center in January of 2022 they told me they ran my insurance benefits and that I was covered and that my copay would be $25 for the type of chiropractic appointments I was interested in. Now I have a bill telling me that I am responsible for over $229 per appointment (Chiropract Manj 1-2 Regions $60, Chiropract Manj Xtrspin 1/> $53, Electric Stimulation Therapy $30, Mechanical Traction Therapy $36 and Manual Therapy $50) for 4 appts.Date of Bill: 3.2.23 Appointments took place on 1.29.22, 2.5.22, 2.9.22 and 2.12.22.I have tried calling the billing department at ************ and could not get through to anyone on 3/13, 3/15 or 3/17. I left a voicemail asking for a call back on 3.17.23

It appears this situation has already been remedied with by billing department and the patient. If you need further clarification or documentation please let me know. It seems the patient acquired a new insurance policy at her work and had not been updated in our system. Our billing extension had changed so she was not able to reach anyone. The statements not being revieced Iam not sure about that. We sent several throughout the year. Either way this has been resolved and acount fixed.

First and foremost, I have no issues with the pain management medical providers or my chiropractor. I could not ask for better care. The problem I'm having is with the billing department. Before I accepted my first appointment, I asked if my health care insurances covered the services I was seeking. I was assured that I had a complete coverage. I had ************* care dual coverage, ********* and ********* At one visit I was told of a balance of almost $400.00. I objected, and after some investigation the receptionist told me that all was covered except the modality treatment. I was told that all I was responsible for was around $97.00. The next visit I was again confronted with the $400.00 owing. I was called 03 January 2023 by a very nasty and ****** rude, especially when I asked to speak to billing. At once i heard a loud slam. The next thing I know. I talking with billing. A gentleman, sounding as if he did not have a grip on what we were discussing. I believe I was speaking to a young lady, whom I overheard her say in rough indecent language that she hated working for this company, and that the company (Mountain View Pain Ctr). There is a young lady who greets patients, and extends me (patients). She is the one who investigated the issue with the erroneous balance.Absolutely nothing accomplished. This would be a better health care provider if it were not for the outright lies I was fed before my first visit. In conclusion all of the great care by the centers professional med staff is muddied by the BAD FAITH BY THE BILLING **** AND THAT PARTICULARLY NASTY YOUNG LADY. SHE IS BRINGING THIS DOWN. I TOLD HER THAT I WOULD BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BUSINESS BUREAU, SHE REPLIED THAT SHE DIDN'T CARE. THE GENTLEMAN IN BILLING IS ****** HIS HEAD.ADDITIONALLY, THIS MESS IS DIRECTLY INTERFERING WITH MY MEDICAL TREATMENTS.THIS REVIEW WILL BE USED TO FILE MY COMPLAINTS WITHTTER BUSINESS BUREAU. A COMPLAINT WILL BE FILED WITH THE ******** STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR. BAD FAITH BUSINESS PRACTICES. A COMPLAINT WILL BE BE LEVIED WITH ****************** AND THE ******** STATE DEPARTMENT OF REGULATORY AGENCIES AND ******** STATE INSURANCE REGULATORS.BEWARE YOU MIGHT BECOME SICKER DEALING WITH MOUNTAIN VIEW PAIN Ctr. I'm also seeking legal representation to event a lawsuit.

I apologize about the previous response, For some reason when searching any of the patient's information in our system he was not showing up. After I sent the email that he is not a patient I was able to find him. This is just a pretty easy explanation of the patient not understanding his insurance benefits even though they were very clearly laid out for him on his signed ABN which I have attached which shows the exact prices he would be liable for. The phone call he states is simply untrue he does not understand his benefits and believes he owes nothing when he does. Chiropractors under ******** rules may only bill ******** for the spinal adjustment which we have done. If the patient elects to do uncovered services they have to pay out of pocket. We explain this visit one and have them sign an ABN which he did. If he continues to go down this path we will place a counter suit as he is defaming the company and making false claims. We have never in 13 years had a negative review placed to the BBB. I apologize about the apparent late response. I never received any email until on was forwarded to me from our info email. My correct email is ******************** Our address is also incorrect on on this complaint it is not any of our offices.
