This company is uses supposed "gigs" as a way to get money. You have to pay for your own background check after which they provide no means to actually sign up for these supposed "gigs". There is also no recourse for a refund after they fail to honor the contract. A shame I looked at this site after it happened to me. I hope others aren't scammed like I and so many others are.

      Business response

There is no record of the above contractor with the email provided selecting a gig. All contractors complete a background check, which is valid for up to 6 months. There are new gigs posted to our website, so please come and apply! If you have indeed already paid for a background check under a different email address, we will honor that for any new gig you get accepted to, if within your 6 month timespan. We look forward to having you as part of the Omniverse.

OMNI interactions took my background check money and then said the job was full. I passed every background including the drug testing. Completed it all within 3 days one day being Memorial Day. They can ask thousands of people to apply knowing they only need a few hundred people, charge 40 dollars per person and then say the class is full, after youve done everything exactly the way they said. They texted and emailed me at least 10 times ******* and admonishing me to finish each step even though the steps had been done. They messaged me and told me I was registered to begin the training, then two days later said the class was full and to register for another job. Scam, making a profit off of peoples need for employment. They also said they could send a link for a free background check, well why arent they sending that link in the first place.

Thank you for your response. Omni makes it clear that no spot is guaranteed when applying for a gig. The available spots are filled as we receive completed paperwork and a passed background check. Background checks are good for up to 6 months, so we encourage contractors to reapply to future gigs. The contractor above has been signed up for another wave of the gig and should begin Omni Day as planned.

On 4/11/24, I paid for a background check and was set to start the job contingent on the results of the background check. Once the results were received, I got an email from Omni indicating that the class was closed. They will not issue a refund and are scamming people out of their money.

Omni appreciates any and all feedback that will make our contractor experience better. We acknowledge that you have paid for a background check, which is valid for up to 6 months with Omni. As the fee is paid directly to our background check vendor, a refund in this regard is not applicable. We encourage you to consider applying for a new gig with **** in the future. We value your contribution and would love to have you as part of our team!

I have attempted to reach out twice concerning my missing payment. I have not received any response and it has been way over the ******************************** the automated email. I will be filing an official complaint with the **** for recovery of 10x the amount of the payment. It is costing me hefty transportation fees to file at a local office. In addition, I am suing for all associated losses due to depending on this payment and for workplace retaliation. When I reached out regarding pay integrity, I was removed from the companys platform. Now I am missing my final pay and **** is blatantly ignoring all attempts of contact to correct the issue and process my pay.

Omni values and appreciates all feedback from the community as it helps us improve our services. We have reviewed your complaint and would like to provide clarification on the situation. The contractor in question has been paid out for all weekly earnings to date, and there have been no issues with receiving those payments. There is an additional incentive payment of $22.20 that is currently owed. Earlier today, we sent an email requesting updated banking information to process this payment. While we strive to ensure fast payments, the safety and security of our contractors' personal information is our top priority. Regarding the contractor's removal, it was due to call avoidance. This decision is not related to any issues with payment of earnings. Our policies are in place to ensure the highest standards of service and reliability for our clients and community.

Omni highly values any and all input from our contractor community, as it helps us continually improve our processes and services. We sincerely sympathize with your health needs and understand the challenges that such situations can bring. However, we must emphasize that your removal was due to compliance issues. These decisions, although difficult, are essential for maintaining the integrity of our business and the trust of our clients. We understand that this may be disappointing news, and we want to assure you that such decisions are never made lightly. We take into account various factors and strive to act in the best interest of both our contractors and our business. We are glad to hear that you are doing better health-wise. Your contributions to our team have been appreciated, and we regret that circumstances have led to this outcome. I am rejecting this response because:

you guys keep saying COMPLIANCE but arent taking my situation into consideration. im not understanding how a business can say they understand but yet does not help when agents CANNOT control certain situations. I NEVER KNEW I HAD A PROBLEM WITH SEIZURES. So why am I being punished for something I didnt know ?
you guys dont care about your agents and it shows GREATLY just from the response.

due to my health and me almost dying .. how can I meet compliance requirements when somebody is almost on their death bed ? I literally had 3 seizures while taking calls for you guys and now that Im better you all cant even take it into good faith to let me come back ? Im not understanding at all. I need a full jot  down and not just due to compliance . because thats really over looking my situation

Hi,My name is ******************** and I have no clue what the issue is with my application! I have done the background check and I got an email, which I have attached, stating that I needed to reach out to your vendor in regards to the ***** I did that and they said everything is fine. I told them that it was expected for them to contact you and they are bouncing me around. They confirmed that my background check is squeaky clean. I also attached an email from you all stating that my ** was verified the only thing was I needed to wait for an email of instructions of how to reach out to First Advantage. I did that and they confirmed nothing is wrong on their end and that if there is a breakdown it is on your end. I have also been restricted from my portal with your company as if something is wrong with my application! I would like to get this matter straight. Nothing is wrong with my background and it was confirmed that my ** verification was verified. Now, I have spent money ($40.00) and my background is clean. I have received an email from your staff that my ** ************* was verified. There is no reason my application should be on hold or my portal restricted like there is something going on with the information I proved. I did the background check and paid the fee before doing the ** verification as that is the order it came to me in my email. I should not have had to come out of pocket to do a background check before all else was verified...meaning ** verification. None the less again I got an email that my id verified all else was in regards to me having to reach out to your vendor First Advantage. There should not be any issues.

Upon further review of your profile, you failed the ** verification 4 times in the last 90 days. We appreciate your attempts, but for the safety and security of your personal information we are unable to move forward with you. Omni does not receive any funds from the payment you made to our third party vendor. The verification was processed, you were just unable to move forward due to the result.

      Complaint: 20988699

I am rejecting this response because: I applied for the first gig several times and, yes, due to the phone that I was using, I failed ID verification. I was told by your team that I could not apply for THAT SPECIFIC gig again, but I could apply for another gig. If your minimum try is 2 times, why did they not only allow me to apply for another gig, but also triggered me to pay for a background check as well. Then I got an email from your company stating that my ID verification passed, but there was something I needed to talk to your vender about in regards to my background check. I spoke to your vendor and t hey said all is well and clear. I have gotten mixed messages from your team because no one is on the same page and it cost me to spend unnecessary money. I should not had been able to move forward from the 1st gig failing ID verification 2 to begin with. If that had of been the case, I would not had came out of pocket for the 2nd gig that I applied for after buying a new phone. This cost me money because your team is telling me different things in every email! It is very unprofessional for your company to not have workers that know what they are talking about and because of it I am out of *****!!!! I have attached more screenshots of the conversation between me and your team. One stating all is fine, but my application is on hold due to the fact that I need to talk to your vendor dealing with background check, however it also states that my ID verification was verified. Why in the world are you not recognizing the cleared ID verification that you allowed me to do after the other attempts!?!You allowed it!!!! Now that it is cleared and I am out of pocket you decide  you want to stick with your two tries policy.....fishy and completely immoral!!!!! I can see why you have a 1.4 star in ratings.

To add, I have my company that has Top Fortune 500 companies that are interested. I could have easily contracted with your company in the future as a client. That will NEVER HAPPEN NOW. You are not professional enough and your ratings support my claim:

I applied for a contractor gig w/ Omni Interactions on 11/30/23 for a position that is set to start January ****. Maybe 30 mins or so after I applied & answered the registration questions, I was offered to move forward in the certification process. I received several different emails from Omni stating that I needed to complete the required tasks that same day, and start the background check within 2 hours of receipt of the email, which I did. The background check was $40, which **** has partnered w/First Advantage to do the checks. My results were complete shortly after I submitted it, and then I was advised to complete the identification process that requires a passport or driver license. I was given 8 mins to complete it by answering the identity questions & then uploading my document (which was my license). I finished that portion in like 2-3 mins, with about 4-5 mins remaining. When I submitted the info, not even 60 seconds went by & I received an email stating my identity verification failed. It was so odd and weird, trying to understand how and why. The denial reasons implicated that my identification was either fraud, expired, ineligible, non-approved document, expired or name doesn't match my identity questions, etc. I was highly offended because this is my livelihood you all had access to & there is nothing fake about my identity; if a redo of my license was needed, why didn't you all ask me to do so instead of denying me in such a skeptical way? I've seen recent complaints about others experiencing the same thing demanding a refund of their $40. I am demanding the same! This was so unethical, and they must have robots working behind those screens, because I saw that my profile was deleted permanently and my communication to Omni was disabled. Prior to that happening, I responded to the email and the only response I was received was "We don't know what happened & the system doesn't say, but I wish you the best in your future endeavors." Can you say SCAM!

      Business response

Omni values any and all feedback from our community. The safety of our contractors information is one of main priorities here at Omni. If a contractor does not pass the ** verification, they will not be able to proceed to a gig. There are multiple reasons which may cause a failure:

Your first/last name in our system is NOT the same name on your **.
Your document is expired, or invalid for another reason (fake document, etc)
Your photos were not clear, too blurry, illegible.
You used someone else's information when you registered as a GBA.
You used someone else's information to complete the ** Verification process.
      You used a non-approved document.
Our vendor was NOT able to verify your identity matches the document provided.
You completed the process while using a VPN/Proxy Server.
You are not located in *****************

The verification is not done in house, but by a third party vendor who sends us the results. While we do understand the frustration for the complaint, the safety and security of our contractors as well as Omni is extremely important to us. For this reason, the results from a ** verification are final with no appeal process.

I am rejecting this response because: It was very unethical on Onmi's part on how they handled the process. All of these failed reasons do not apply to me and nothing about my identity is fake. In all the years I've been in the workforce and have applied to jobs, NOT ONCE have I ever heard of a business removing someone from the platform because of a failed identification process, in which you didn't even allow me a chance to redo if it showed up blurry on your end or whatever. So what a third party system was used? That doesn't excuse your poor process of how **** handled it and what rule you have. You all had access to my personal information and I want my refund. You removed me from the Omni platform and deleted my profile, so I had no way to get in touch with anyone about that matter. It's unprofessional and unethical. I want my $40 back. I saw a lot of people experienced the same thing recently and that's unacceptable. Omni just sounds like a scam and getting over on people and I will NEVER apply with you all again. I don't want any contact from them, just my money back because if they continue to refuse giving my money back, I will respectively dispute it with the bank.

      Sincerely,

I am disabled and homebound, I was searching for a work at home job online. I came a cross a site called Omni Interactions and submitted my information. I received an email to pay $40 for the back ground check, with the promise of starting a job on 12/12/2023 with Saferide. I paid the $40 but after a few days started feeling concerned about the entire transaction as it seemed to be a scam after reading reviews online. Sure enough, on 11/20/2023 I received an email stating the position has closed and was not offered a refund. I did email them asking for a refund but it was denied by *****************

Omni values any and all feedback from the community. In this particular case, the contractors profile is in good standing. Her background is clear, her ID verification is clear, the class just filled and we were unable to roster her for that particular class. We did advise her that she is able to sign up for upcoming classes, and would not have to pay for another background check. We do not promise spots on any program, as the needs of our clients can change last minute. Since contractors do not pay Omni for the background check, but rather a 3rd party company who did indeed complete the background, there is no refund to issue. We are hoping she will come and be part of our Omniverse and put her clearance to use!

I kept receiving reminders to pay the $40 to be able to start on December but after I paid all of a sudden the position closed. I was SCAMMED. I signed up for A gig and went through the process, but their ** verification would not work. I kept getting a message "please wait, we are working with our vendor". I did as their "support" instructed me to do: I tried with and without WIFI, different browser, updated my chrome browser to newest version, my download speed is high on my cell phone (***** Mbps), no firewalls, vpn, cleared cache/cookies. I have no issues with other sites. Upon reviewing other reviews, this is a COMMON problem with them, yet they refuse to fix it and instead blame the contractor. After I realized their ** verification wasn't working, I emailed them letting them know I wasn't going to continue with the process since they weren't able to address the issue on their end. I received the response "Your ** Verification will be rest once you initiate the background check. At this time, we cannot escalate the issue until you initiate the background check." Because of their response, I initiated the background check and paid $40. I emailed them back asking them to escalate the ** verification issue since I had initiated the background check. I got a response stating I had not paid for the background check. I emailed them back the receipt of payment, but they responded with the Background check company's contact info only. I spoke with a Rep from First Advantage and he verified I had paid and gave me case number ******* and said Omni Interactions would need to contact them directly if they needed to confirm payment.I emailed Omni back with my findings and got no response. I even texted them in response to a text I received asking me to complete the ** verification before 3pm EST. I even left a voicemail at their number, but got NO response. AFTER 3pm EST, I get an email not addressing the issue, but telling me to sign up for another gig in the future. At this point, a refund of the $40 would be the ONLY resolution since they failed to do what they said.

Omni appreciates any and all feedback from the community. We have made several attempts via email and phone to assist with the matter addressed above. Each email received has been answered, with additional steps to help assist with this process. As of yesterday afternoon, the contractor requested that we no longer contact him. Please note, the contractor pays the vendor for their ID verification/Background check not Omni.

      Complaint: 20781953

I am rejecting this response because they did not contact me to resolve the real issue, which is the $40 refund.  They removed me from the Gig and told me to apply for something else in the future if I wanted and completely disregarded EVERYTHING they had done wrong, which caused me to miss their own deadline.  I did everything right on my end.   They are the ones who missed the deadline by ignoring my emails, texts, and call (voicemail), but then pretended like it was my fault.  Now, when it's too late, they are trying to "fix" the ** verification issue to make it look like they tried , but what they are not telling you, is that it's too late and doesn't make a difference (I lost the job).  Also, the issue is not the ** verification, which they are pretending is the problem.  The real issue is that they lied to me by telling me to pay $40 for the background check and said they would NOT escalate or help with the ** verification until AFTER I paid.  When I did pay and gave them receipt proof, they lied and said I had not paid, and then ignored my many attempts to get them to escalate my issue on time.  They failed to do so.  I have told them repeatedly the REAL ISSUE they need to address is the $40 REFUND.  I told them I don't want to be contacted unless they are going to pay me the $40.  All their attempts to reach me have been AFTER I filed this complaint, but not about the refund, so they are lying in their response.  They want to fix the ** verification, which like I have said, it's too late and the damage already done.  Why would I want to work in the future with a company with unethical business practices and who does not take responsibility for their mistakes.  Do not let them gaslight you.  The ONLY responsible resolution is for them to give me the $40 back since I relied on their own words and they failed to deliver a resolution on time when it really mattered.  Essentially, I was tricked into paying for a background check that I did not need and would never had paid for since there was no job, or "gig", because they missed their own deadline and then removed me from the position.  The continue to lie.  The reviews from many others on this platform and others show the pattern over and over again.

      Sincerely,

I was charged $40 for a background check and asked to submit and ID verification, I passed the background check and submitted an ID Verification using my government issued ID (Drivers License) and was asked to use a take a picture of my face to confirm my ID. I was advised by Omni Interactions that I failed the verification, I was given a second attempt and took the same none blurry pictures and a clear picture of my face and was denied again. I emailed the Omni customer service and was advised they could not give and exact reason on why my ID verification failed but I would not receive a refund, and my profile was removed from their website and I could not appeal the decision. I have gone through this process a few years prior and I passed. After looking up reviews I see Omni has done this to multiple customers without a specific explanation they are given a list of 10 or more reason on why their verification may have failed but nothing specific, and the customer is not given a chance to appeal anything we are removed and charged without a specific reason.
