    I purchased tickets for a comedy show that Comedy Underground is hosting. Unfortunately, I was scheduled to work the weekend of the show, and wrote to their business email address ******************************* on March 13th to request a refund. I wrote again on March 15th, but never heard back from the company. They do not have a written refund/cancellation policy anywhere on their website, and because the seats are not assigned and I wrote with 5 weeks notice before the show, I feel like it is not unreasonable to issue a refund.

    Hey BBB Team,

     

    The long and short of this is that I wasn't able to reply to this customer due to me having a hernia surgery the day they sent in this refund request.

    There's no foul play, I was simply recovering from having my stomach opened up, repaired, and sewn back shut.

     

    We are a very small business and I have to handle all of our ticketing and correspondence myself. When I am unable to do so due to surgery recovery, there is a delay.

    I believe escalating to the BBB over this is a bit beyond the pale.

    As soon as I was able to safely return to work they were promptly refunded. The customer has seen this, been refunded, and had their concerns addressed, as well as they checked on my wellbeing after realizing what had transpired. Hope everyone at the BBB is able to resolve the complaint in our favor. Let me know if you have any further questions.
