A few days prior to July 11, 2020 I paid Veriheal $179.00 and was told that if I did not receive my medical marijuana card I would be refunded my money . For reasons I do not understand I didn't receive my card , and almost 4 years later I still have not received my refund . I made a few calls in the weeks after I found out I didn't receive my card and the customer service agent told me there was no refunds even tho the website claims they do in fact refund if you do not get the medical card . I called them last night and was told to create a PayPal and that I would receive a refund in 3 -4 business days but after doing some research I discovered it does not take more than a few hours to send a refund to PayPal and I am coming to the conclusion I was lied to by the customer service agent over the phone . I hope they come through but after 4 years I shouldn't have to wait even longer for a refund that should have been processed years agoBusiness response

Hello ******, we're sorry to hear that you have encountered some issues while using our service. It appears that you were not able to make it to your appointment considering that it's still in waiting status. Based on the Terms and Conditions, a refund can only be possible if you were denied by the doctor for whatever reason or if you have requested to cancel prior to the time of appointment (please see attached screenshot of our FAQs). This is a scam business that fails to provide the product it offers. Furthermore, it is impossible to reach anyone to resolve issues. I paid $199 for a med marijuana recommendation and never received it. After calling and emailing to try to get either the recommendation or a refund, the agent refused to do anything but say they couldn't help.Business response

I signed up for the wrong service. Once I realized it, I cancelled. I did not go through with the consultation and was refused a refund. The company kept my 80$ without rendering a single service. Nothing. No information given by phone matches their website. False advertising, didnt honor their refund policy, and the worst customer service Ive ever encountered.Business response

Hello *****, were sorry to hear that youve run into some issues while using our service. It was not our intent to make this process harder than it has to be for you. As checked, you booked the Personalized Consultation online. Before booking this type of appointment, there is actually a reminder that says, "Personalized consultations are not to get your medical marijuana card, they are strictly educational appointments with a professional cannabis coach to learn how cannabis and CBD may benefit you or how to optimize your current use." I have attached a screenshot of the said reminder for your reference.
Moreover, we have gone ahead and processed a refund for your transaction since this appointment should be done through a video and not through chat. We have also attached a receipt of your refund. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

On February 24, 2024 I put my contact information into Veriheal's site and navigated away before creating an account or making an appointment. I was then spammed with two phone calls, two texts, and two emails within 5 minutes. Against my better judgement, I took a call with their agent to do a consultation.The agent started the phone call by informing me that a medical marijuana license was "100% fully guaranteed" or a full refund would be immediately issued. We then answered screening questions together. I informed the company that I was a resident of NY but that I was pending an updated license for the state. No flags were raised at this time. I was scheduled for a video call with a "doctor" at 8:30 PM. The doctor never showed up to the appointment. The number that was texting me stopped answering suddenly and the email address that was previously very responsive stopped replying as well. I sent several follow-*** regarding the doctor's ************** The next morning, I was informed that I was "Not Recommended for Medical Cannabis" via email and to contact them as soon as possible. I immediately emailed the provided address and asked them to honor their policy of a full and immediate refund. Almost 48 hours and still no contact from any channel that I've used. I sent several follow-*** to no answer.I believe this is because I do not have a NY license and was seeking a medical marijuana card in NY. I told them I was pending my drivers license but then I was "ghosted" and out $120. This is clearly a scam factory and I should've done my research on BBB before.Customer response

On January 26, ****, I contacted Veriheal because an ad on the radio clearly stated this company would be able to help me obtain a legal medical marijuana card quickly. I paid the fee of $200 plus an extra $10 to have them do the paperwork with my state. I was approved by their doctor. But they never provided me with the info to access my own account, either on their site or my state government's site. A phone call got me nowhere. Several emails have gone unanswered. I still have no medical marijuana card, and I cannot access the state's site to check on the status because Veriheal refuses to give me the account details they set up in my name! Now 2 weeks later, I am out $210 and have no card to get the medicine I need. On the phone, no one I talk to can or will help me. I was promised a prompt response to my email, within 24 hours. Its been several emails, and 3 days, and no response. I feel scammed.Customer response

A representative from Veriheal contacted me today and tracked down where several errors and missteps on their part were made. A partial refund was granted and a tech support agent helped resolve the issue with the *********************. I am satisfied with the results, but will feel more at ease when the medical card is in my possession. I will let you know if this occurs.Business response

As discussed over the phone, since you have already paid the state registration fee, the state will print your card and they'll mail it within ***** days. I paid to have my MMJ card renewed on 1/18/2024 I went with this company cause they where cheaper than alot and on multiple occasions when speaking with the lady during our convo I was told I would have it that day or no more than 24 hours and still haven't received it nothing has been sent over and I already paid around 175 180 for it. I was told ot would be expedited and still nothing. I'm currently with out my meds now because of this and they have not reached back out to resolve this problem. At this point I feel like I've been scammed now that I see all these complaints. I'm not to sure what to do from here and need some help, as I'm not getting any help from the company. They where very miss leading before I paid them in way of convenienceing me I would have it that day or 24 hours later, but after I paid the truth came out and i was told 5 to 7 days. I could of just paid more eles where and have my meds right now if I wouldn't have been lied/mislead.Business response

I applied to have my MMCC card renewed on 12/1/23 only for them to tell me afterwards that they have been having issues with the site and cannot upload renewals. Why are they still taking clients then? I need a full refund and now! This is the ridiculousBusiness response

Weve been in contact with the doctor and unfortunately, the state portal is still down as of the moment the reason why the practitioners are not able to complete any certifications/re-certifications until it is up and running. I paid for and received an appointment through the Veriheal website on 9/22/23. I only chose this site because they had available appointments and boasted "get your medial marijuana card or renewal today". After approval the doctor said I should have my certificate within 24 hours. It has been 24 hours and I have not received my certificate. I called and used their online chat support to expedite the return only to get the run around, vague answers to my very specific questions, and no results. They could see on their end that I was approved, so I asked why it took so long, and they said they didn't know. I asked why they charged $50 more than most sites (most sites offer immediate receipt of certificate upon approval). They told me it was a state fee... so then I said I should receive a state card in addition to the certificate, since that's what the state fee is for. They replied by asking me how much the state fee was. Obviously, the answers I was getting were from some uninformed employee trying to keep me at bay. Bottom line, they advertise that you can get your state card the same day. But once I paid I was verbally told to expect ***** hrs to receive the physical certificate which does not include the state card. I wanted to get the appointment done so that I could go to the dispensary the next day. Now the dispensaries are closed for the weekend and I still haven't received my online certificate. I'd like to know why it takes so long to fill out and return a certificate that is accessible online to any provider in VA. I'D ALSO LIKE I KNOW WHY THEY WOULD GIVE ME FALSE INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO WHY THEY CHARGE SO MUCH MORE IF THEIR TURNAROUND IS SO LONG! If they were upfront with the specifics of this I would have chosen a cheaper/ different option. Cannabis is the only thing that helps my nausea and appetite issues from my other medications, and delta 8/9 products are no longer available. I'm on ********* with no income.Customer response

Now having made complaints with you as well multiple attempts to resolve this directly with the company, they have finally fished the job I overpaid for. However, my legitimate concern is the fact that I chose this company based on misleading advertisements and the available same day appointment. They are advertising same day approval, but same day approval is irrelevant without receiving the actual certificate on the same day. You are only told about this grace ****** given to the doctors after you pay and the doctor approves you, making it difficult to get a refund at all or in a timely fashion so you can use a different service. Not to mention the doctor only told me 24 hours and I didn't find out about the 72 hour grace ****** they give their doctors until I called to try to expedite things. Bottom line, I was expecting to get to the dispensary before it closed on Saturday! Had they been upfront about this grace ****** I would have opted to rearrange my saturday and use a different service that was cheaper but offered immediate receipt of certificate. Not to mention, I wasn't thrilled with the appointment itself, she had connection issues from start to finish blaming her 15 min tardiness on these issues, I never experienced a problem seeing or hearing her but she did seeing and hearing me. And even though in the end I got what I came for, the appointment felt rushed and not very thorough once we resorted to texting communication to avoid connection issues and finalize the appt. She never allowed me to fully answer her questions, interrupting me mid sentence during the connection issues.
I really expect some sort of refund if not a full one and demand they are up front with patients on the site about this grace ****** before booking appointments.
I will give the Dr credit for being upfront about recommending I seek this treatment from my therapist. And I think she approved me based on the fact that I told her I did but my therapist (LPN) wasn't educated on the most recent changes in the law and wasn't comfortable doing it yet .
I must add, I'm unemployed and on ********* and had to go through several weeks of ailments scrounging up the money for this appointment. I was using legal delta8/9 and THCO or THCP products that were no longer legal as of July1st. I chose this route as opposed to my regular providers to expedite getting seen as well as avoiding convincing my current providers of the most recent changes in the laws of Virginia. They didn't send an update out to every doctor in ******** telling them they can prescribe this certificate at their own discretion.
In fact, "buyer beware" because very few of these multi-state sites have updated the Virginia regulations and procedures accurately reflecting these new laws. How long are these companies going to be allowed to take advantage of the uneducated population especially as each state chips away at there cannabis regulations. And rest assured your praying on the poor sector because those who can afford quality street product can easily get it while avoiding these extra costs and processes in addition to to high costs at the dispensary all together.
