      ICON misinformed informed me when I inquired about insurance coverage for a cataract surgery. I phoned ICON a month and a half inquiring about coverage with my insurance. They phoned back and said I was covered. Then a week before my appointment I phoned again inquiring about coverage and was assured I had coverage. I had my appointment and visited with the surgery scheduler, I was told again I had coverage. Then six weeks later, I received a call from ICON notifying me I would have to pay an additional, several thousand dollars, because the surgery center they use is not in network with my insurance. And that it was my fault for not checking with my insurance company. I was never informed that the surgery center was a different organization. I had to cancel the surgery because I cannot afford to full pay the surgery center. Then ICON sent me a bill and said and again said its wasnt their fault, it must have been the insurance company. Now they want to send me to collections because of their mistake. Be warned to not trust this organization, as they do not do adequate pre surgery insurance coverage check.

      I had a good check-up for glaucoma eye pressure with Dr. ****** she is a good eye specialist and answered all my questions and concerns. I was a little put off by the long wait to see her as there were few clients in the facility. Apparently Dr. ***** may have been the only *** there today. I have received excellent care from ICON and feel they are standouts in the eye care field. I have had two cataract surgeries there where stents were implanted to control eye pressure. Working well. I'm grateful for their excellent service and their friendly staffing.

      I totally would not recommend this place to others, I've called about 9 or ten times with no call back. I had to go back to vision works to get a call back from icon icare. I finally got in my appointment was at 9:00 but when I arrived they told me they changed the appointment to 10:30.. I was there until after 1:00 pm so I was late for work. The sx scheduler told me she would call to schedule the surgery but I received no such call. I came at 9:00 am day of surgery and they informed me the ** was scheduled at 11:45 because they are running behind. The lady that came out to talk to us was very rude she said if we didn't like it we could wait longer! Had I read these bad reviews before hand, I would have went to a different place.. ??
