    My husband had his eyes examined on January 10, 2023, by ************. Insurance was filed and a prescription written. Upon having his new glasses made at LensCrafters, he was unable to see properly with them. LensCrafters double checked their work and made a new pair; actually, two new pairs as he also had reading glasses made. They did not work either. Back to ************ to double check the prescription. Ditto the above. He could not see out of these either.So, he went to a different eye ******* *************************************** (Lic # ****), who assessed his eyes and issued a totally different prescription. Out of pocket cost for this was $138 as insurance for an eye exam had already been submitted for this calendar year. ************ made his new glasses which he was able to successfully see out of.When I approached Dr. ***** office with a request to be reimbursed the $138, I was told they would review this with the Dr. and the accountant and would get back to me. Nothing happened. After following ** in the office a few weeks later, I was told ************ would not issue a reimbursement and that she stood by her exam. I requested to speak with her and was denied. A requested subsequent phone call did not happen either.In addition, I received a bill for the $40 co-pay which I had already paid. Thankfully, I had the check number and invoice number to prove this was already paid. With a wrong prescription and billing errors, I cannot help but question the legitimacy of her and her office operation.************ acted unprofessionally and unable to speak to the issue of a mistake. Instead of having a conversation to appease, I was ignored. In my husbands case, this showed malpractice.I respectfully request reimbursement of the cost of an eye exam by a different ******* so her reputation is not further damaged by her inept diagnosis and poor office practices.
