Technician was very well prepared and solved our problem quickly and reasonably and then asked if there was anything else he could help us with while on the call... and he did help with a couple of minor questions. ***** ******, the technician, was typical of our experience with Applewood - very personable and nice to have around!

***** ********* at Applewood Plumbing did a wonderful and complete job at repairing some electrical issues at my house. He found the problem early and easily after a little troubleshooting and fixed it in a very timely & professional fashion! Came here intending to write a good review but upon further research, I found out that I have been severely overcharged for work performed by Applewood Plumbing and Electrical. I had used them for a toilet rebuild months ago and the service was excellent and price was fair compared to other quotes. They gained my trust as a customer. Today, my kitchen sink began leaking. I called Applewood and they were able to find me a master plumber, ****, same day to replace a garbage disposal that had been leaking. Understandably, I knew going in that the rate would be higher for same day service. However, afterwards researching the cost of parts and comparing to rates for similar services provided in the area, Applewoods pricing is simply exorbitant, beyond the reasonable up charge for rush service. What I paid is over 300% higher than comparable rush services. I paid nearly $1,600 for this repair (subscribing to their gold membership did save me money).The customer service during this process was excellent. The plumber, **** was prompt, respectful, and knowledgeable. He even went around the house and provided a check of some other plumbing in my home. However, this doesnt discredit that the ***** **** up rubs me the wrong way.I wish I had gotten another quote before committing to Applewood for this work. Even more than that done research on what a fair rate would be or DIY cost. This was a ****** for me to learn as a young homeowner who inherited their first property from their late parents. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the cost of the garbage disposal installation with the 10 year, 100% parts and labor warranty. I also show that you elected to be part of the *************************** and $198 of the bill is for the membership, which provides 15% off the total repairs.
Applewood utilizes standardized job pricing; we do not charge a breakdown with parts and labor fees, but rather, place one price on the specific type of work or repair. The cost set by the company includes the entire job and any warranties for the work, with no additional add-ons or hidden fees, no same-day, after hours or emergency fees, and the exact price is quoted up front and in writing prior to any work being completed. It sounds like you contacted our company and were happy that we were able to come out and complete the necessary repairs within the time limits you had, in addition to the successful and timely repair.
Again, we do apologize for your dissatisfaction, as we always strive for 100% customer satisfaction with any job we work on. As a courtesy we will refund the $198 for the *** membership since you mentioned you do not intend to work with us moving forward. We hope you will reconsider using our company for future needs you may have, but if not, we of course, wish you all the best with any service provider you may choose to utilize.

Aplewood pricing is OUTRAGEOUS! last Friday I was quoted over $11,000 for a water heater replacement--that is not a typo--over $11,000 for a 50 gallon water heater replacement. I found 2 other quotes under $3500--How do they justify a more than $7000 premium?? I think they are taking advantage of people.Its safe to say I will never call them again. Instead of fees for hourly labor and parts, our prices are standardized by the job and set by the company to ensure that all customers pay the same price for the same repair or replacement with us. The total cost of work and any warranties are provided up front and in writing to avoid any surprise charges after the job is completed. We strive to provide the best quality workmanship and customer service with every customer we work with, we do not necessarily strive to be the cheapest competitor in town. We are happy to hear you have found other companies to work with that are better suited to your needs.

The company came out to replace the water heater within hours ON a weekend. The man that came was very nice and got on the work immediately. He did a wonderful job, cleaned up everything afterwards, explained everything to me and showed me everything he did.
