It was agreed that my commercial lease would be terminated early, at the end of June, 2021. The space is **** ******* **** **** ***** *** I have not been able to reach anyone at FourStar to sign the termination paperwork, and have been billed for July, 2021. Prior to my least end, FourStar entered the commercial space without my knowledge or notification and removed multiple items from the shop. These items include, but are not limited to business paperwork, along with vintage barbering tools that have belonged to my family since the shop opened in 1959. The space was cleaned and painted by FourStar, again while I still had time left on the lease to remove the items and clean the space. I have reached out via phone and email to the leasing manager, Bridget Rolls, on multiple occasions and have had no reply. I need to get the lease taken care of, return or compensation for the stolen items, and the return of a significant damage deposit that was paid at the beginning of the lease.Business response

***** - The owner of the property provided rent relief for 3 months from April - July 2020 while your Barber Shop could not be opened. Our office then contacted you for several months asking for a plan to pay your rent. During that time the balance accrued to over $29,000. The owners as well as Four Star understood it was a tough time; however, both forwent stable income to try and help. We finally were told by you that you would not continue your lease, which still had an additional 27 months on it. We were given keys by you, a final check and written confirmation that you would be out on June 3rd in a text message. After that an email was sent on the 6th stating you could not get out in time but would be out on the 7th. Finally a confirmation was sent on the 10th regarding if you needed to do anything else in the space and I stated you could leave it. We were told by you multiple times you were out of the space and had it cleaned and everything moved out. We took the space as vacant per your emails and texts as well as the keys and check. The owner could not re-rent the space in the condition and had to clean it in order to find another tenant. In total the owner will be out over 6 months of rent plus any upgrade costs. Unfortunately there is nothing further we can do, and we have tried to work with you at every step of the way.Customer response

Thank you for your reply. Although I have not received any formal documentation, nor communication of any sort, my online payment account with FourStar through RentCafe is now showing a past resident status with a zero balance. I assume charges for July have been removed as of July 23, 2020. I will attempt to send the documentation again. I am receiving a timed out error code during submission. Please let me know if they arrive, or if there is another means of delivery. Thank you,
