    BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning, product, billing and customer service issues. Specifically, consumers allege that the business changed its terms without warning, preventing them from accessing their photos or using Photobucket.com services without paying an upfront fee of $399.00.  Consumers also allege that if they move forward with the “upgrade” to access their photos, there are no new features and some features have been removed. Consumers also allege that the business will not refund their money after consumers pay for the service and when they try to contact customer service the business is unresponsive. As of January 13, 2020, the business has not responded.

      This business has taken money from my account for an annual fee with absolutely no notice or reminder beforehand in order for me to choose whether or not to continue membership. Every other business on the planet gives reminders because they value their customers and want high satisfaction ratings. I don't even recall agreeing to an annual plan, I had agreed to monthly and never paid annually before so there has been no authorization to my knowledge of $86.28 being taken from me. I want a full refund. No contact information to be easily found on their site so filing this complaint to try to resolve this matter.

      Photobucket auto charged my card for a service I am not using. I reached out promptly (a few days) and they are refusing to refund the amount for an unused service. I was charged for an entire year. At minimum an 11 month refund should be given for unused services

      I was illegally charged for a service I did not authorize I am hoping I was not charged last year will look into it then I went back on to photvbucket find pics from 12 years ago Refund to my PayPal is needed

      Hi there,

      Thank you for your concern. In this case, the user contacted our support team in regards to their annual subscription on August 18, 2022. We advised that our subscription services are set to automatically renew. We cancelled the automatic renewal for their subscription and advised that we cannot issue a refund since the request for a refund was not asked within 48 hours of the initial payment.The payment was on July 21, 2022 which is past our refund period.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      i never authorized RBIs to be subscribed to in first place . I regained access to my acct that was free never authorized any type of payments to be taken out 

      I dont use my PayPal all time so I would never have known till I looked at the charge 

       

      I will file in small claims court if need be on top of additional damages 
      And fyi I went in to the account to Cancel it because someone unwillingly subscribed me to it

      Hi there,

      Thank you for your response. The subscription was purchased in July 2021 and like many other subscriptions, ours are set to automatically renew. Their PayPal account has been associated with this subscription since it was purchased in July 2021. With PayPal, transaction receipts are sent after every charge so the user would have one from July 2021 with the purchase of the subscription as well.

      A member from our Support team cancelled the automatic renewal on August 18, 2022 in ticket number *******. The user will no longer be charged after their subscription has expired, which is on July 21, 2023.

      We will not issuing a refund due to our refund policy.

      If the user has any further concerns, please have them contact our support team.

      Unable to delete my account. There seems to no way to contact support to do so.

      On September 26 2021, I requested that Photobucket delete my account (based on email address *******************). On September 27 I was told by Photobucket support via email: "Your account, *********, is now queued for deletion. You will no longer have access to your account. Please note that once the account is permanently deleted, we cannot restore your account or images anymore. Photobucket does not maintain a backup for deleted accounts." On October 11th I got a marketing email from Photobucket, prompting me to ask when my account would be deleted. Photobucket attempted to avoid the issue by removing me from "future promotional campaigns." I asked Photobucket when my account would actually be deleted. On October 13th, Photobucket replied "We will not be deleting your profile any time soon." with no other information.

      In this case the user contacted us on September 26, 2021. We deleted the account as requested on September 27, 2021.

      The user contacted us again on October 11, 2021 in regards to receiving promotional emails about their account status. We removed their email address from future promotional campaigns and advised it can take up to 10 days for this to take effect.

      We apologize for misinformation that was provided in the further correspondence. The account has been in fact deleted as of September 27, 2021 as requested in their initial ticket and they will no longer be receiving promotional emails as stated in their follow-up ticket.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      Photobucket has deleted my account on October 15.  They have also indicated on their their website that account deletions may occur after some time. Thank you for your help!

      June 22, 2021 did this email to Photobucket and did a survey poll the same built a **** Jeep, then got help on the internet forum, stayed on Forum for 7 yrs to payback help... now PhotoBucket cuts off videos and pics I built a **** Jeep with help of friends on phone from ******************************************************************************************* make my great jeep even better. I stayed and helped on forums to payback the help I got for 7 years. I was rated one of the best on forums for help and did some GREAT work. I used photobucket to host pics and video. One post got 25k views in first year and vendors gave free parts and ship for parts on how to set up a carb on a 40 year old truck. It saved them2-6 hrs per purchase in getting help to the purchaser of these new carbs. Then photobucket cuts off my account and blures out the pics and ends the video link. SHAME on you.... you screwed the forums in a big way and citizens all over the world getting help.

      Hi there,

      Thank you for your concern. In this case, the user contacted us on June 22, 2021 in regards to their images displaying an overlay of "host. store. share. Photobucket" watermark.

      We advised the user that Photobucket no longer offers free hosting and they will need to purchase a subscription in order to remove the overlay on their images. We also offered the user a discounted offer for a plan that supports image hosting and these offers are still available if the user would like to use one.

      Dear BBB ******,

      Sorry did not see your email about a week ago.   I get ******* emails a day.

      Did see your email today that I did not reply and marked complaint addressed.

      Photobucket does not reply well and should not be marked as such.   I read the complaints from other citizens / customers on your web site.   

      Few things... 
      the new free limit is 2.5***s of storage.... that is 1-2 pictures and small pics at that.
      ******* would estimate 200 pics are on the photobucket
      ******* has not used or changed the files for 10 years now
      ******* did contact photobucket by email June 2021 and the reply was useless, needed to email again to get amount $$$$  Photobucket was requesting

      Others have said photobucket has be slick and does not say what they want and what the memory/storage limits are for their accounts.... refer to number of pics has no meaning

      Example they told me you can get free up to **** pics and this was 2.5 ***s of storage....... usless and small

      Even the email below has not info on storage amount with even the paid service.... is using ROBO service... this should be written well to make it easy for customers.

      I will ATTACH the emails sent that are useless so BBB and others can see them.... in a word document

      Also Photobucket is no emailing me every 2-3 days in Sept 2021 
      asking me to take action, need to sign in with password, but does not show their offerings.......

      no access has been given for customers to get their pics and video to store other locations...

      Many customers have this complaint and the BBB record was silent...... whos material is it???
      What is your service cost, what is the storage, what are your tools and improvements.

      Photobucket  FREE was not that great. Locked up often, difficult to locate and move pics/files


      MY Grade to Photobucket they way they handled the transition customers is F.... 
      there are many complaints online from Free Customers

      Again please take a look at the Email chain that photobucket said was handled and customer was offered a discount..... no $$$ were mentioned in your BBB file.... more deception

      I was emailed Aug 2019 that over limit FREE Photobucket was ending.
      Now was $$7.99/mo........ but nothing on what the storage in ***s, gigs or Qty of pics and video
      Discount was $5/mo for 3 mo and we can ext that to 6mo....... again nothing on storage in ***s or gigs
      $96 a year to store some pics is not cheap.......... and Photobucket is silent on the *** or gig storage for service.
      The emails are telling .... and when Photobucket tells the BBB File they did such a great job just 3 months prior   JUne 2021

      Many are complaining how poorly Photobucket is Dealing with Customers...... had to search web to find this and thus why I did the BBB Complaint
