On April 4th I went to brakes plus on country club and baseline. I went it originally for an alignment, an oil change and the see why 3 lights on my dash were on. The guy said it would take about an hour to do the alignment and oil change so I waited and said cool. Well after about an hour or so they take me out to my car and show me where a wire was burnt and a piece was broken on my alternator and stated I needed to get it fixed and this may be the cause of lights on my dash coming on, primarily my battery light. He quoted me $615 at this point for the alternator, labor and oil change- I agree. Adds another hour or so. I decided to leave and I called back two hours after I left checking on the status and the guy tells me hes getting me an estimate because in order for him to do the alignment I needed to replace my two front lower control arms which my estimate for everything came out to $1500. Well, he does all the work and as I go to leave I tell him there is still 2 lights on my dash after they stated they all turned off. The man proceeds to tell me I need to go get new tires and that is PROBABLY why my lights are on for my braking system and my anti sway and to come back in a couple days if there still on. If I need new tires and they are that bad how could they properly do an alignment? How can these lights be on still after being told they were off and my quoted $615 alternator, which really came out to $721.48, would resolve the issue? And now that Im looking at the receipt the wrong oil was put in my car as well. They put 5W20 when my vehicle states and I stated as well it took 10W30. All of this has been a HORRIBLE experience and I hope this is fixed and doesnt happen to anyone else. I feel very ripped off and used and I will never be coming back.

Breaks pads purchased Aug 2021, all new rotors done Sept 2020. Went in today because the breaks were not right and they said all of those parts needed replaced already. I was blown away that I just did these not even a year and a half ago. I told them to just replace what was under warranty which is apparently just the break pads. They informed me it would still be close to $300. What is under warranty than?? How do rotors and break pads go bad after such a short time? I only use my vehicle for work and errands. They first came to me with $4,600 worth of work that should be done. I was not happy with the service and they would not replace my pads at no charge. I left unsatisfied and with faulty pads. Why do they say life time yet after 7 months they won't replace them.

Back in January took my car to brakes plus to have inspect the brake pads and rotors. When I drove the car to the shop it had no warning indicator on the dash. They inspected it and said the back brake pads were at ,60 percent but the front brake pads and rotors needed replaced. They wanted 509 dollars to do they job so I decided to take it elsewhere. Apon leaving I noticed that the abs and traction control light was on and being a mechanic myself thought nothing of it so I replaced the brake pads and rotors on both front sides and didn't touch the rear when I went to figure out why the abs and traction control light was on it was because they had unplugged the sensor on the back right side? As a mechanic myself I can tell you they had absolutely no reason to unplug the sensor did so I order to try to scam me and had I not figured it out myself could have cost me alot if money

On 2/14/22 I took my car to Brake plus for a check engine light. About an hour later a tech called me and suspected my catalytic converter was bad and he need to take it off to inspect. I agreed. The tech claimed the cat was bad and it would cost around $3,340. I did not think this was necessary so I did not approve the work to be done. I paid $311.89 over the phone for the diagnostic and labor. When I arrived the front desk showed me to the back and the tech had my catalytic converter not put together. He claimed the cat was bad and wasn't able to put back together. It wasn't and I asked the tech to put the cat back on. He refused. I went in for a diagnostic check and drove out of their with out a catalytic converter. I want the shop to refund me the full amount for not one time mentioning they weren't able to recount the cat and allowing me to pay. With the price and high demand for Catalytic converters today it seems clear this tech was trying to steal my cat and resell it.

As we appreciate the feed back we explained exactly why we were not able to put a faulty catalytic converter back on your vehilcle. The bolts were extremely rusted and the catalytic converter itself was destroyed internally. The only fix at this point is to replace the catalytic converter. At no time were our techs trying to take your part and resell it as this is not an ehtical business practice. The charge for labor was to inspect the catalytic converter as approved by you.

On Nov 30th I took my car into Brakes Plus solely to have a car alignment. They tech said it wouldnt take any longer then an hour @ 89$ for the alignment. I told him okay great Im going to go Longboarding while I wait for the car to be done. I go Longboarding and end up crashing cutting my cruise very short. I turn around to brakes plus to use their restroom to clean up. After I clean up the manager comes out and says we have a problem. We lifted the car up on the hoist and blew your brakeline. There was fluid on the hoist and in my inner rim. I go how the h*** do you do that? Theres absolutely no way for that to happen. Then they proceeded to try and upscale me on replacing the other side as well. I told him the brake lines where just fine since I just had the front end rebuilt a week ago and Ive been driving the car until I was able to get into my appointment. He then Proceeds to tell me its going to take 2 hours to be finished (but the line job only would have taken an experienced mechanic 15mins or so) they then proceed to tell me they cant release the car because I dont have brakes and I have to fix it. I ask for the part back when I came back to pick up the car. The manager begins to tamper with the line even more as hes walking back with the brake line. Says it bubbled up and blew the line some how. When clearly it looks as it was cut. Just to say theres another problem to charge me more then just the alignment. A 89$ job turned into a 250$ grand total. The manager gaslight me and had terrible customer service. I then proceeded to leave the brakes plus and go into work. The car then start to erratically idol and then overheated and died in the Esporta Fitness Parkinglot. Needed info to be towed after it wouldnt stay running. The car drove and was mechanically sound before taking it into brakes plus.

I have called on Wednesday 11/10 @ 9:30 am and left a voicemail trying to resolve this issue. I have not received a call back to see about a solution. The store performed a brake service and there was an issue with a defective part. The store replaced the part and the car is repaired properly. Was trying to contact the customer to offer some in store credit to validate lost time.  Thanks

Stay away from the ************* ************** location! The gm ********************* treats customers like garbage and laughs at women. They don't do the service request you tell them and proceed to sell s*** parts to customers and do their own work anyway.. The ** is condescending to women and treats customers like garbage. I took my vehicle for basic tune up service they end up telling me my control arms and ball joints are bad which is ******** because they conned me into the same story in 2017!!! since when do these parts only last 35k!!!! They didn't even do half the service requests I asked for. **** the ** harassed me and called me 3 times to tell me the control arms were a #1 priority and they would "find a way" to cover the parts under warranty. I am reporting this as **** poor business practices. they sell s*** parts and then harass their customers until they cave to pay them.
