Sherry Olson did some website work for my business. It was not easy working with her from the beginning. She left my website a mess for a month while she went on vacation to party with her girlfriends for a month! The site was in a foreign language and totally messed up for TWO months! It was a wreck! She apologized and corrected some of it upon her return however hurt my business significantly for that time period of almost 2 months to get it up and running. Next, trying to get a regular update on the site was very difficult as she works a FT job at a community college and plays Karaoke at bars almost every night of the week. Making changes to the website was virtually impossible on many occasions. When I wanted to move the site to myself so I could locate someone else to change it and maintain the website she was uncooperative with assisting with this process and NOW she is refusing to return emails and calls to give me access to My Domain for My website: bestislife.com, so I can get it back up and going. Her unprofessionalism is costing my business significant amount of money currently. She will not give me access to My Domain that I paid for. I want her to release bestislife.com as she is NOT the owner of this domain. It is time to move on. I need this release and access information so I can have someone else create a new website.Business response

Hello, in response to *************************** complaint...
***** (attached documents) Didn't pay her invoice for months and expected me to drop everything and dedicate myself to her continual needs with her website. She owed me $1097 and I felt that all I was doing was getting in deeper and deeper with the invoices. Some of her statements are not as they appear. She was very difficult to get along with and treated me with disrespect (as you can see on some of the emails attached). Plus, on the phone she was very disrespectful to me. At some point, I had to let her go as a client. She told me that she found someone to take over her website and domain and I sent her emails with transfer codes for the domain. (proof is attached) I feel because she didn't know what she was doing (nor whomever she decided to work with), the domain was never transferred over and not because I didn't do my part. (proof is attached) I have many, many unpaid hours into ***** and her website and other different items and I still went out of my way to make sure she had everything to move forward with another company of her choice. I most certainly did my part.
And for *****, when you read this, please understand that your domain has EXPIRED at this time because you didn't transfer the domain with your new company. I hope it is still available for you.
I have been in business for 32 years and never have I ever received a complaint until I worked with ***********************. I worked many jobs just to make it and ***** didn't pay me. I had to move on.

The communication with S.O. was extremely difficult as she was not very responsive to the needs of the upkeep of this website. I have several emails of her apologizing because she was busy with her jobs and vacationing. She left my website a mess for over a month that was unprofessional and not good for my business. Yes I should have released her at that time. Getting changes to the events calendar was not timely at all. As for her reference to the invoice, I asked her several times for an itemized invoice for my business needs and she refused to do this. When I did go into her payment system to make a payment it was not working and I do have an email letting her know it was not working and asked again for an itemized invoice of her services. I did pay $115 in May 2022 and I have the receipt for this transaction to prove I was making payments and waiting for an itemized invoice. There was not much need for changes to my website during the business lock down the year and a half of the pandemic. When I tried to get some information about the status of the website when it went down she did respond and we got it back up and running in **** of 2022, as it was hacked, and I asked at that time as well for an itemized invoice and she would not provide one. In the Fall she indicated that she will not help me any longer with my site. I was working 60 + hours at a new job and did not have much time to locate another website person. When I did he tried to coordinate with her to move my site and S.O. did not show up for the appointment that we set up. She just let the site go off. Recently when I tried to get my Domain that I Paid for, receipt in attachments, according to a website person it is being held under something so I asked her for access and she has refused to release my Domain. This is the bottomline: My website Domain that I paid for thru 10/15/2023 needs to be released to me so I can have a new site created. I would also like to have the pages that I paid for provided to me. The Domain bestislife.com is My Domain before I met S.O. And I paid S.O. for my Domain, again see receipt and email stating it is paid for thru 10/23. I need this Domain to be released to me ASAP so I can move my business needs forward. My new website people cannot get access to this because she is holding it somewhere and I need to know how to get into this holding place to transition it and create a new business website online. I have had this Domain since 2016.
Please let me know if you need more attachments regarding what is stated in this rebuttal.

Well, I think all my screen shots of emails and etc. says it all. My last correspondence with ***** was on November 25, 2022. She may have sent other emails, but I did not get them as I blocked her from anyway of reaching me. Attached is an email with much time donated to ***** to try to get her moved over with her website and domain. Her Domain expired October 15, 2023. She failed to renew her domain a year after our last conversation. I don't see where this is any of my fault and for her to blame me or my business because she didn't take care of things a year after our last conversation.

I am rejecting this response because: It is NOT October 15, 2023 yet So it is NOT expired AND I provided the receipt with the first initial complaint along with an email where S.O. sent indicating My Domain is is Paid In Full from 10/22 to 10/23. Do you need me to resend these Documents! They were provided with the first document sent with this initial complaint. Both documents - emails state that the Domain was paid and is GOOD until this Year! Well Sherry Olson S.O. has control of this and will NOT give ME access to MY Domain. I AM asking Again to Release this Domain Immediately as S.O. did NOT own this Domain before I hired her for her poor work with this website. This Domain that is CURRENT and NOT Expired and is Mine and Sherry needs to give me access so my new website support people can assist with My Domain for MY Business which has been damaged by her behavior of refusing to release My Domain. I am Asking BBB and soon the ***************** to assist me with My Domain access as we are coming up to the Year **** of her keeping it from me. I find this behavior to be extremely unprofessional. Please release My Domain back to me immediately. My website person needs to get my site back up and running sooner than later.

Hello, I forgot to mention in my response last week prior to a family emergency, mother-in-law in ICU, that required travel for the past 4 days, that I had: heard back from a Website Specialist and they indicated that S.O. is holding my Domain there is proof from his email which I attached. I had this Domain long before I hired S.O. She needs to release this back to me ASAP. He was unable to get it transferred and active in my name because it is being held under Sherry *****. Bottomline this Domain needs to be released back to me the original Owner of bestislife.com and I have proof that this was my Domain since 2016.
Attached is the email and it had screen shot trying to transfer it.Sherry *****, again asking you to release my Domain. I have been asking you to do this since last November!

I have had the domain unlocked for longer than a year. There is no one holding your domain name. Once again, I have spent much unpaid time on this trying to transfer it for you... another hour of unpaid time... see attached screen shot of Bluehost conversation. Please stop complaining. You are lacking the knowledge of how all this works and it is not my place to transfer your domain! I am so surprised at the behavior here for Best Is Life. Here is the *** code again for you. I tried to do it myself for you (spent unnecessary time once again)... see attached.
