After being a Viasat customer for approximately 4 years, the service kept going down, but the rates kept increasing. At startup, there was a $250 lifetime lease fee. At that time the installation tech told me the equipment was out of date and a work order would be requested for new equipment. I never heard back on that issue. In May, ACP was discontinued but I was told Viasat would not increase my bill above $99.99 since I've been a long time customer in good standing. I'm being charged $99.99 plus a $12.99 monthly lease fee...why, after payment of the lifetime lease fee on top of old equipment! The Account #********** was on autopay which was processed June 18 (for June 8 to July 7) in the amount of $125.40. I ordered StarLink, hooked it up on June 21, disconnected all Viasat equipment, and called Viasat to disconnect. They told me I will receive a box within 7 days to return equipment. On that same date I received an email from Viasat stating it will be disconnected on my next bill cycle date. Why wait? I have already physically disconnected it. I read reviews on Viasat's website and there are many complaints about customers not receiving the box, being charged an additional month and/or fees for non-returned equipment even though it had, in fact, been returned. I would like to avoid any of this from happening and hope to receive a refund of at least half of the last payment. Any assistance you can provide in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
