We hired Whitewater Ramble to play at our wedding this past June. Patrick cancelled 3 weeks before our wedding, emailing us to say "I’ve been offered and accepted a large financial opportunity with another private event in Aspen." Patrick is the self-described owner and lead singer of the band and was the only representative of the band with whom we met with leading up to the event. This was a clear violation of the contract, both because a) it was within 30 days of the event and b) he struck the ability to cancel due to a career advancing event. Given that we were 3 weeks away from the wedding and had no other sufficient musical options to play in Steamboat on such short notice, we accepted Patrick's settlement offer. The offer stipulated that if we were not satisfied with the band's services and provided written record of this, we would only pay 50% of the price if we were not satisfied with the event. We were not satisfied with the services and provided written record of this. Patrick disputed this by saying we indeed were satisfied, saying he request we "reconsider our comments" and demanded payment in full. After a lengthy back and forth, he offered us a new settlement of 25% off. When we maintained our view that we should receive 50% off, Patrick threatened to send us to a collection agency.

    Hello,

After several phone calls, emails and a Zoom meeting with both Ari and his father, this issue was resolved and an agreement was made by both parties after offering a discount of 50% on the remaining balance, a $2375 discount. Ari accepted these terms and submitted the remaining balance on 8/29/23 bringing this to a conclusion.

The show was performed as planned and went off without any issues as expected.  We received 2 referrals from guests at the event and everyone in attendance, including Rob (Ari’s) father remarked how amazing the band was.   Ari himself expressed in person to the band how great they were and that he wanted to tip all of them paying them directly instead of the proper payment method.

I will however refute that show was ever to be cancelled as Ari has stated.  The show was never cancelled, nor was there ever any indication that it would not go forward as planned.  There was simply a lineup change needed to make to accommodate another event on the same day and as a courtesy I let them know in advance.   The contract never stated that anyone other than Jessica Jones was confirmed personally and our contract did not state any names of individuals to be confirmed as performers other than Jessica.  The group has a rotational call list of players based on availability and changes are made along the way, especially since COVID.    Ari attached this contract already that confirms my statements above and also screenshot the email that was sent stating the lineup change and never a mention of a cancellation.

Here is a link to a short video showing Ari and Sarah very much enjoying themselves and the music.
