      Well doesn’t look like my complaint is anything new with Brian @ Colorado Turfin. They show up collect their deposit then make your life miserable trying to get the work done. While weather was initial issue causing delays. The lack of communication and type of communication from him is my biggest complaint. First they showed up when it rained for a week and was still raining wanting to install my turf. I had to tell them that I had 2 Inches of standing water in my back yard and job would need to be rescheduled. Installer said let me talk with Brian and see what he wants to do. Then their truck pulled off and I didn’t hear anything for a few days. I followed up and got the date rescheduled with the text of “let us know if it’s raining prior to us showing up”. I called Brian asking if there was a miscommunication on their crew coming while raining and he got very defensive and condescending and kept talking over every question I had. Finally after a few minutes of going no where I hung up. Again the rain came on the new date of install and I let him know it was to muddy and asked again to reschedule. On date of 3rd scheduled install the ground was dry, But no call and no show from Brian. I asked him when his crew was coming, he said they assumed it was wet. I advised him it was dry and he requested a picture for proof. Picture sent and job rescheduled for following day. Brian then said he would be here to ensure I wasn’t trouble??? I was nothing my professional with him. He then said that for fear of not being paid he was parting ways. Wonderful news! I asked to get our money back since he made the call to not complete. Said check would be mailed on Monday 6/6/22 and now 2 weeks later still no check. Asked him again, he responded in text “wrong number” “For all I know, you’re holding the check we sent to black mail me” “ don’t want your money, or your “poor me” drama. Remember, I fired you!” I told him I guess a judge will decide.

      I feel robbed and taken advantage of by Mr. Brian R*********, owner of Colorado Turfin'. He delivered a smooth pitch so I went with him for our turf project in March 2022. I soon became frustrated with his lack of communication and unprofessional behavior. He offered to terminate the contract and give me a refund before any work was initiated and I accepted this offer as a means to peacefully each go our way. It's now been several weeks since he supposedly "sent" my refund but I have yet to receive my money back, which was several thousand dollars. Mr. R********* refuses to give any exact information on when this money was "sent" and regardless I should have received it by now given that it's been several weeks since he told me he "sent" it. He's also now refusing to respond. I have now been scammed as Mr. R********* terminated our contract before any work was initiated and has refused to ensure the return of our several thousands of dollars. He even laughed at me when I requested any proof that the deposit had been mailed back to me. Mr. R********* unlawfully holding onto my money falls in line with a plethora of prior complaints regarding his lack of professionalism and predatory business practices. This is unacceptable business behavior and is direct violation of the Consumer Protection Act. Given Mr. R*********'s deception and unlawful withholding of my money resulting in his own personal financial gain, I am reporting him to the Attorney General and Consumer Protection Agency as well as the Denver District Attorney's Consumer Protection Agency for fraud and I will pursue a Small Claims Action should he continue to withhold my money.

      Date of transaction: 3/29/2022 The turf was installed and is not on the specks that we provided to the company and during the walk through. Upon request for someone to come out and finish the job, the owner of the company called to say we were 'A ******* piece of ****'. 1. Us and the company agreed the turf would start 12 inches from the garage, which it does not (see photos) 2. Us and the company agreed our pavers would be 10 inches from the end of the rock which they are not (see pictures) 3. Us and the company agreed the pavers would be spaced 6 inches from each other, which they are not and are not straight (see pictures) 4. Us and the company agreed that our pavers would be equal to or below the line of turn, which they are not (see pictures) 5. The turf is not level on the side of the garage (see photos) Based on everything above, Colorado Turfin has failed to fulfill the agreement. We are asking for either i) Colorado Turfin to provide a refund, ii) Colorado Turfin pay for the turf replacement or iii) Colorado Turfin come back to finish the job . All of this was communicated prior to the job via the sales person and during the walkthrough with the installation employees on-site.

      mr ********* girlfriend reached out about the yard and wanted to discuss complaints. I requested that she call back in 2 weeks, due to my wife having a baby, just yesterday, and my daughter had some complications. Upon request for a bit of time for my family and care for my  wife and daughter, that has tubes running down her throat, ****** girlfriend demanded somebody there Thursday or Friday. Again, all was asking for was 2 weeks to get my personal/family situation good and make sure everybody is safe, which I/we feel that’s more than reasonable. As far of the “level” of the yard, we have to keep the drainage of the yard for warranty purposes. If we were to alter those drainage slopes, it will void her house warranty, so we will not change that “level”. As far as the square feet, we installed the total square feet that was agreed upon on the estimate, 435 sq ft. As far as the pavers are concerned, ****** girlfriend added that after the yard and contract was agreed upon. Beings that it wasn’t a charge order submitted and an after thought, in order for us to “alter/change” we would need to put together a change order. That is a lot of work and definitely should be charged for, again, it was not stated on the contract.

       

      as far as we are concerned, our end of the deal has been 100%. We installed the square footage on the contract, kept the drainage for her home warranty, and then she added the pavers last minute, so if that is to be corrected, we will gladly submit a change order to mr ******* prior to use coming back.

      I have attached her quote/contract, which is line itemed, there is nothing there about any pavers. Again this was a last minute change, and would normally be charged at $25/ sq ft. Not something I would do for free. Which makes me feel the generosity of my crew was taken advantage of.

      They are unresponsive to my request for a refund. They claim that canceling their service voids any deposit I have given them. This unacceptable. They have provided no product or service and are not entitled to keep my deposit. I am requesting a full refund. From review of numerous complaints their business practices are in direct violation of the Consumer Protection Act. Should they continue to be unreasonable and unresponsive I intend to report their practices to the Attorney General and Consumer Protection Agency, as well as file a Small Claims Action.

      On June 23rd, 2020 I had Colorado Turfin' install 150' SF of turf in the amount of $1042.43, Invoice # ***. For the last couple of months I have noticed that the Turf has "PUFFED" up the whole length of the turf next to my patio.On August 24th I contact Brian, the owner, by phone. After explaining to him the problem I had, he stated he would transfer me to ???? who would schedule with me to come out to look at the problem, then I was disconnected from him. I tried calling him back and the message said his mailbox was full. I then tried the office # and that mailbox was also full. Later that same day I contacted Brian, again, and told him no one has called me back, he said " he would have someone call me back "TODAY". As of today, nobody has contacted me! On August 26th I called both Brian and office #s and BOTH mailboxs were full. I also texted Brian that same day. On August 31 I left a message with Brian, again, that I wanted the Turf problem corrected. NOBODY has called me back.
