From April 09, 2023 until April 21, 2023 - for twelve days - my vehicle was at this ********** auto repair business while they replaced the timing belt and adjusted the cam shaft. The afternoon of April 14 I reached the store manager ***************************** by phone. He stated that work on my vehicle would be completed, that it would be ready for me to pick up, by the end of business the following day - Saturday, April 15. He stated that he would call me to let me know when the vehicle was ready.The business, however, did not contact me. Although I called and emailed the business over the next three days, I was only told that they would: "check with the mechanic and call you back." It was April ************************************************** their April 19 email to me the business stated: "The mechanic is working on your truck and unfortunately we are still unsure the exact amount of time remaining. We had another mechanic end his employment with ** earlier this week and are attempting to keep up with the work." I went that evening to the business to inquire about my vehicle's status, whereupon the store manager (again) assured me it would be done the following day. It was ultimately done after 6pm April 20, effectively April 21.The business failed to complete the repair when promised. Then, for four days they failed to provide any update to me regarding the delay. The extended delay and uncertainty about the repairs forced me to continue arranging alternative transportation. I had rented a vehicle to use while mine was being repaired. I originally scheduled to return the rental April 17, expecting that would provide ample time for the repair shop to complete the repair. But the business's actions necessitated that I extend the rental during the interim between when the store manager said my vehicle would be ready, and when the vehicle was in fact ready on April 21. I paid additional $137.94 to extend the rental for four additional days.
