We purchased our RV from Bob Scott’s RV about 2 years ago. Last July we required repairs and brought it into them in August. The repair process was a nightmare. We repeatedly got the runaround on warranty and parts issues and routinely went with unanswered calls and messages. Updates on service were few and far between. Bob Scott’s maintained possession of our RV during this process and when winter months arrived, they neglected to winterize it as promised. The result was more repairs and waiting with little to no updates. By the time all repairs had been made it was December. We had had enough and decided to have them sell it on consignment for us. Once again, no updates or returned calls. Our consignment contract ended in February, and we have received zero communication from them. Every time I have gone to their sales yard to pick it up, the gates have been locked and nobody has been there. Currently my RV (that I am making monthly payments on) is sitting in their lot with the plate removed and I can’t retrieve MY PROPERTY. They have had possession of my RV for 9 months now and I just want it back.

In late August 2022 I took my motor home to Bob Scott's RV to have the awning repaired/replaced. I was told the job would take 2-6 weeks depending on parts supplier and I left it with them. I was called on Nov. 14 and told nothing had been done on my vehicle and I would have to pay over $1900 in advance to get the job done, which I did. I was called again later that month and was told they were having problems with their service department and given the option of a refund or waiting longer. I told her I wasn't in a hurry since I wasn't planning on using it til next summer. She told me she would talk to the owner to confirm they could finish the job. She never called back. I have tried to reach them multiple (over 20) times since late November to find out the status of my repair. All I get is voice mail which is never returned after leaving a message. I had my credit card company return my payment recently, thinking that would prompt a call from Scott's but no luck. At this point, all I want is my RV back. Since I live in South Carolina (I normally store the RV at my daughter's house in Grand Junction) I need to arrange a time and place for me to have the RV picked up, but I don't even know if it's at the same location I dropped it off at. I need to make some arrangement so I can hire someone to drive it to my daughter's house (she can't drive it). Have they gone out of business (no one answers the phones of their sales , parts or service lines)? If so, how do I retrieve my vehicle? I need someone from Scott's to talk to me to resolve this, but am at a loss, since all lines of communication are closed.

We had our camper in storage with them for 3 years. They provided a combination for the lock on the storage lot. We have picked up our camper but they insisted on keeping a set of keys for it. I want my keys back. along with the specialty keys there is a custom key ring that I really want returned.

I had taken my camper a fifth wheel to Bob Scott RVs to sell it under consignment through them. I was dealing with a gentlemen named Chris B*******. The contract was from late June 2022 through September 2022, a 90 day contract. At the beginning of September, I went down to the dealership to discuss resigning the contract or just putting my camper in storage for the winter because it didn’t sell. Chris informed me that we did not need to sign another contract and he might have a potential buyer. About a week or two goes buy and I thought the buyer fell through so I contact Chris to get an update. Chris then told me that that buyer fell through but there was another buyer. Again, no call back for a week so I call Chris. This was Oct 26 I call and leave a message. Chris returns my phone call Oct 29 apologizes for the delay and said he should have payment for me in a week. The whole time they are blaming the buyer for being flakey and flip flopping. November and December go by, and the holidays pass. I attempt to contact Chris again on Saturday Jan 7th, someone answers and sends me to Chriss voicemail. Sunday and Monday they are closed. I call Tuesday during business hours, no answer, wednesday no answer again. Thursday, I go down to their lot and the gates are locked and my camper is no longer on the lot. I start looking online to see if they went out of business and I find a bunch of reviews of people saying they had their campers under consignment with Bob Scott RV and the camper sold but they never got paid. A long with those reviews there was others that stated they had bought campers and can’t get the title. At this point I start thinking they stole my camper so I call the Sheriff and try to report it stolen. The Sheriff was no help. My wife had found out by talking to other victims of this place that they had filed a complaint with the state. I have made several attempts to get ahold of anybody at all numbers available at Bob Scotts RV and all I have received is voicemail. I have left several messages with them and have not received any call backs. I have all of these messages recorded.

We have not received a title for an RV purchased on 9/16/22. They are required by law to have title paperwork to us. We still have not received it as of 1/19/23.

We purchased a vehicle from Bob Scott RV on Saturday, December 10, 2022. We had the opportunity to meet the previous owner the day we purchased, as he had to bring in keys for the hitch. He provided immaculate and very detailed service records. We met the Title Clerk at our bank the following business day (Monday) and paid for the vehicle with certified funds. As we started to leave with all of our paperwork, the Finance Manager, Chris, noted that the truck title was not signed by the previous owner. We were assured that we would have the truck title either later that day or the following business day. Unfortunately, it is now a month later, and we still have no title for the vehicle. Therefore, we cannot register the vehicle and drive it. We have tried to contact Bob Scott RVs repeatedly for weeks and received no calls back and no answers. The "Title Clerk" finally returned the call and stated that the Finance Manager still had the title and needed to get in touch with the previous owner. The gates to the business are routinely closed during business hours, and no response from anyone is given. I finally stopped by when they were actually open, and I was told the previous owner was in Mexico until February. So, we could not get the title executed until that time. I reached out to the previous owner who also cannot get a straight answer or information. He stated he has called repeatedly and has been unable to get any information. ...AND HE HAS NOT YET BEEN PAID for the truck. He was not in Mexico, as his vacation there does not start until next week. He just left for Minnesota last week, and, therefore, could have signed the title any time before then. We want the signed title to the truck. We want the previous owner to get paid, and we want any dealer service fees refunded to us immediately. I'm sure the previous owner would like Bob Scott to reduce their consignment fees for this transaction as well.

Purchased a 5th Wheel from Bob Scott RV on September 07, 2022, paying cash. We were told the title would be fedex sent to us as soon as the consigned sellers signed. As of today December 23th, we still have not received the title. Reasons provided were sick employees. We were told on Dec 7th they had found title, but a scribbled signature prevented them from giving it to us, and they would contact previous owner and get a copy signed. We verified our check was cashed on September 7th. Have made numerous, greater than 20, phone calls (documented) Upon visiting dealership on Dec 16th, they said oops it wasn't our title they had found, but someone else's. Chris promised a thorough search for our title that day and that he would call the next day. Did not happen, and today 7 days later they still do not answer the phone. We stopped by there again on 12-21-22 and talked to Chris again and he said he knew the previous owner and would contact her to get a copy of the title for signature by yesterday (12/22/2022). No return phone calls. 11-14-22 Went to the licensing office and tried to get a new title - they told us that there is nothing filed with the state and that we need to contact the seller. So that was the first time we called 11-30-22 - Mulitiple calls & texts with Selina from Bob Scott RV - she is filtering through a big pile of papers trying to find our trailer title. People have been sick around their office and things have gotten behind. 12-16-22 Called an attorney, about our problem getting the title to the 5th wheel. No yelling or screaming or nasty name calling has occurred - now doubting all excuses. The temporary tag has expired. We can’t register or resell without title.

Purchased a used motor home from Bob Scott RV in August 2022, it's now November and the temporary tag has expired. The dealership has not provided a title so I can purchase license plates and have been unable to provide an reason for the delay other than someone got sick. I am currently out thousands of dollars and don't have a motor home I can use on the roads I have attempted to negotiate a solution without success. In fact they asked me to leave when I asked them to give me an honest answer.

      Business Response

      Date: 11/15/2022

I regret to inform that this message is true all except for the way it ended.  The title that he is referring to was in house however our title clerk was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to endure chemo treatments and subsequently a double mastectomy.  We had her working from home but apparently this situation was missed and escalated to a point where the buyer felt that he needed to take it to this level, but not before he decided to come to our dealership and yell and scream and threaten our employees. We told him that we would get ahold of the title clerk and get him the title immediately and that we were sorry his got missed in the normal day to day operations.  He was also offered a second temporary tag so he could use the motorhome in the mean time to which he declined. Mr. ********** continued to act aggressively which is why he was asked to leave the premises. We retrieved the title and delivered it to his residence that following Monday afternoon. (11/7/22)

      Customer Answer

      Date: 11/18/2022

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
After having been put off twice previously by the dealership concerning the title to the Motor home I had purchased. I went in the third time prepared with factual information concerning the dealerships responsibility to deliver a title.

The only "yelling and screaming" that day was by the employee of Bob Scott RV as he tried to talk over me when I recited the laws concerning the dealerships responsibility.

In fact, when i recited the dealerships responsibility to deliver the title with in 20 days the employee yelled that he had 30 days. I reminded him that it had been 60 days.
That is when he physically shoved me (a 70 year old man) towards the door and continued to hurl insults at my back as I descended the ramp toward my vehicle.

I will admit that I did threaten to bring legal action and that the dealership did in fact hand deliver the title to my home the following Monday. A day when the dealership is normally closed.

In closing I can only say that this would not have been escalated to the point of a complaint to the BBB had the dealership preformed its legally required obligations in the first place. I was never offered another 60 day permit or a reasonable explanation as to the delay for the title.

      Regards,

      **** **********
