Had my house painted on 7/20/24 by Peak Pro Painting. Within 2 weeks of job completion, the deck has started to peel and bubble severely. It rained the night before they starting the job and when the professionals started to prep the deck you could clearly see it was still wet so incorrect prep has happened. When I mentioned this to the professional painter, asked if they were going to let the deck dry out, he said they know what they are doing but obviously not since it has started to peel and bubble within 2 weeks. I filled out warranty and asked the owner ************************* to call me as soon as possible. Not until I texted him personally did I hear from him. Now I am being told only after 3 weeks of the job being done, this is not warrantied and I will have to pay $100 an hour and supplies to have it fixed. I will not pay them anymore money after I just paid them $4100 less than 3 weeks ago. This deck need to be repaired for free or refunded so I can hire a company to correctly refinish the deck since they did not prep it correctly. Lets also mention that this company promises repairs that they cant deliver. You wont know this until you sign contract, give deposit and they start your house. I can also confirm this by the two different sub contractors that were at my house that they promise things they cant delver all the time. When I questioned this, **** the wife of the owner, laughed at me and said I was taking my house to seriously. Are you kidding me, its my house I pay for. Also reading reviews online, this has also happened to another customer. So I had to settle for unacceptable repairs bc when I asked for my deposit back before the start after finding out they cant do repairs correctly, I was denied and had no choice but to go with them which I regret so badly. It shows i have a 2 year warranty on this job they did but now finding out things aren't covered. Beware using this company. I am waiting to hear from Owner ****** and we will see where this goes.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me at this time to talk with him and see what they resolution is going to be.  If he makes me pay for repairs after only 2 weeks of the job being completed, this will not be a resolution as i have stated i just paid him $4100.00 3 weeks ago and i will reach back out to you.

    Sincerely,

    *******************************

Complaint ID ******** is not resolved. Waiting to hear back from owner ****** ****** on next steps. Do i need to refile another complaint as this on is not resolved as of this time? The deck has not been repaired or a discussion on what is to happen with the deck. The owner mentioned something of signed off my warranty for the whole project to fix or refund just the deck which i will not do since the quote was broken out between house and deck. We are only talking about the deck and not the house at this time so the warranty for the house should stay intact regardless what happens with the deck. They are two different entities according to the estimate. We left it off as i will hear back from ****** but at this time nothing is resolved so if Peak Pro Painting has reported this as being resolved, that is incorrect

I am rejecting this response because: i never received anything from Peak Professional painting to resolve this issue.  i was told i would receive a call from the owner ****** or his attorney after the initial call to discuss further options but has never happened so how can i respond to anything when nothing has happened from Peak Professional painting.  They are a horrible company that promises things and never comes through.  I would like to resolve this issue as now my actual house is also starting to peel on top of the deck issue which i haven't even brought up yet because they haven't even responded about the deck issue and now i have a feeling they will also try and get out of the warranty on the house also.

    Sincerely,

Mr. ********************** understand *** ******* responded to the BBB that she received no response from Peak Professional Painters or our firm regarding the concerns she raised in her complaint.

As previously stated, our firm emailed correspondence to *** ******* attempting to address her concerns regarding Peak Professional Painter's contractual obligation and performance of work performed at *** ********* residence on August 16, 2024.

I am aware that *** ******* posted online reviews of Peak Professional Painting on various online platforms beginning around August 22, 2024. In *** ********* review she references, in her words, "being threatened with lawyer talk and if I wanted repairs done, they wanted me to sign off on my whole warranty." I understand this statement is in direct reference to the proposed offer of settlement extended by my office on your behalf to *** ******** To date, my office has not received a response from *** ******** The references to "lawyer talk" and "signing off" suggest *** ******* was in receipt of our correspondence as we did request that a settlement agreement be executed by both parties in seeking a resolution of the claim.

Our communication with *** ******* was conducted via the email address identified in the contract for services, and to which we understand is a viable form of communication between *** ******* and Peak Professional Painting prior to the firm's involvement. The firm did not receive any indication that the emails we sent to *** ******* were undeliverable.

As previously stated, our firm sent a follow up email to *** ******* with additional information on August 22, 2024. Given the nature of the dispute and the tone of *** ********* prior communications with officers and employees of Peak Professional Painting, our firm believes communication in writing is the most appropriate method of communicating with *** ******* at this time.

If I may provide any additional information or details, including an affidavit of service regarding our prior attempts to communicate with *** ******** please do not hesitate to let me know.

I am rejecting this response because: Again because I have never received a call which I was excepting since that is what ****** told me was going to happen.  If emails were sent, I probably didn't see them because I wasn't expecting emails from the last conversation I had with ******. He was supposed to call me on Monday August 12th from the August 8th conversation at 2:27PM we had.  He said he or the lawyer would call me and that has never happened.  So if emails have been sent, they need to be resent and let me know they will be sent as I get a lot of junk emails anymore so unless I know I am to receive an email, I don't look at them to hard.

    Sincerely,

    ******** *******

We hired Peak Pro Painting to paint our house, the trim paint all over the house is bubbling and coming off. They have tried to repaint a few times with no luck, the repairs look as bad as the bubbles. We have reached out several times for them to not contact us, then when we asked for a refund they reached out and said they were going to have the paint analyzed. A ******************************* rep came and took the paint, we were told two weeks for results. It has been a month with no contact. At this point, we have determined the trim work took about 50% of the job and are requesting a 50% refund.

We hired Peak Pro Painting to stain our deck. Not a year later, the deck was peeling WORSE than before we had our deck stained. At the time, I had contacted ****** about the flaking stain that was painted over, and I was told to just show the painters what should be done. I'm not sure what they understood, but definately the work was subpar. In addition, I contacted ****** at least one other time about the trim that they were painting. ****** responded by reducing the price, rather than have them do the trim right. These workers were unsupervised, an no one from the company checked on their work. I contacted the office in May when it was clear that the paint was peeling to the point that would result in damage to my deck if not corrected before winter. I never received word from the company's warranty department during the summer. In spite of promise after promise to be contacted by the warranty team, no one contacted me. It is now the middle of September, and I was finally contacted. I was told that if I paid the workers $75 per hour, they would come out for a few hours and "fix" it. No thank you. It is not worth the headache of seeing the peeling paint all too soon. I will hire someone else to do it right.
