      I brought my ***** to Complete Auto Repair because I thought doing business locally would be good for all. Wrong. I was told that the valve covers needed to be removed at a cost of $414 to determine what was going on with the valves on my car. I was then told that a rocker arm was broken and that there was a great deal of dirt/carbon build up and that the cost to fix could run as high as $3600 if the catalytic converter was damaged. I advised C.A.R .to stop and I would tow my vehicle to my usual and trusted mechanic. My Mechanic has looked it over and has determined the rocker arms are just fine and there is no dirt or sludge build up to be dealt with. There is a stuck hydraulic lifter....period. Cost to replace with parts and labor was I contacted C.A.R. on May 20, 2023 via the link on their websire to dispute the $414 charge and the misdiagnosis. I asked that the $414 charge be reversed or reduced. since I received wrong information, was quoted a rediculus price. I felt I was being duped.To date (5/30/23) I have had no response.
