On February 2, 2023 my husband and I put a deposit of $500.00 down on a Mazda CX-5 with McDonald Mazda North and entered into a binding contract. The vehicle was supposed to be delivered to the dealership on February 22. That got pushed back to March 2, 2023. On March 2, 2023, we received a call from the saleswoman, Samantha. Samantha informed us the car was on the lot and was being prepped. We then agreed on a pick up date of Monday, March 6, 2023. The dealership also ran a hard inquiry on our credit score. On March 4, 2023, I received a call from Samantha advising me the car had been damaged during transport and was unsellable. She then transferred me to the General Sales Manager, DOUG G******, and Doug proceeded to tell me how the vehicle was damaged during transport and how he had been searching all morning for a comparable car for us. I then asked Doug if he was sure he had not sold the vehicle to another party and his response was, "We don't do business like that." We had the VIN number to the vehicle and my husband then called McDonald Mazda West and spoke to a salesman there. My husband made a general inquiry about this exact vehicle using the VIN number. The salesman then proceeded to tell my husband this exact vehicle sold last night to a customer. He told my husband there was a problem because another party had put down a deposit to hold the vehicle TWO WEEKS PRIOR to the person who the vehicle was sold to. My husband then called DOUG G****** at McDONALD MAZDA NORTH and asked him to explain what happened. Doug began to tell my husband his fabricated story about how the vehicle got damaged during transport but that he could sell us another vehicle for $800.00 more. At that point, my husband called LYING DOUG out on his lies. My husband advised LYING DOUG that he knew the vehicle was not damaged during transport and LYING DOUG finally confessed that he's a liar. So in fact, this IS how this company does business.

Shady!!! I got a ****** Carolla on a Thursday. I had a pleasant time with sales. I drove it twice and on Sunday only 4 days in it started popping lights on the dash. It scared me. My last car someone rear-ended and destroyed it and I got hurt. I dont want to drive something unsafe. I was hoping the dealership would at least do a code check and make sure it was safe, but they threw me at my warranty. I just bought this and they don't care if they sell a safe vehicle. Will not even look at it.
