I purchased a Bernedoodle "Turnkey" puppy from the breeder Tammie D***** aka Black Canyon Doodle /dba -Rocky Mountain Bernedoodle in Montrose, CO, for $19,000 and the puppy was delivered "emotionally damaged" to Tammie's own admission he was "harshly trained and had PTSD." The puppy I originally requested to be trainable as a therapy dog, Tammie assured me he would make a perfect therapy dog. It turns out he was not, he was afraid of most people, men, and children in particular. He was also afraid of the wind, paper, balls, and noises. He was sick with diarrhea and had three rounds of antibiotics for giardia causing significant veterinary costs upwards of an additional $2000. Tammie paid for the transport of the dog Bentley back to Colorado ( Aug. 13th, 2021) for "additional training" and refunded me $9,000 of the total of $19,000. She has possession of the dog now. I no longer have the dog (which was heartbreaking to my family), and I am out $10,000. This is a terrible loss both financially and emotionally. Tammie is refusing to pay the balance of $10,000 because she feels the trainer whom she chose (**** **** *** ********) and whom she alone hired, should be the one to return the balance. I did not have a choice in the trainer. I have had a horrible experience and fighting for this money only adds to the emotional turmoil this experience has caused my family.
