We do not recommend this business. We first requested Redman Renovations for simple electrical work (to extend a 120V wire closer to our brand new furnace so we didn't have to use an extension cord); however, we were also looking to finish our basement. This business claims to specialize in electrical work; however, this contractor is not a licensed/state certified electrician. The contractor ended up plugging our furnace into a 240V and fried our brand new furnace and voided our warranty. This was just the beginning & this should have been a red flag not to continue with utilizing this contractor but we continued onward. Redman Renovations painted this amazing picture that he could do all the work we were looking to do. From framing, to drywall, electrical, plumbing, carpentry as well as masonry/tile work. After 4 months of not much progress we put our foot down and demanded a finish date. The contractor knew that he would not finish within this timeline as well as knew he'd gotten in over his head. He opted to walk away from the job leaving unfinished work and poor workmanship. It was a blessing in disguise because after having multiple reputable contractors to come over to assess the work to determine next steps their consensus were all the same. This contractor had no idea what he was doing. We had to rip down all the plumbing that Redman Renovations installed as the wrong materials were used and would have left us with a flooded basement if the entire plumbing was completed. A dog bath built by Redman Renovations also had to be ripped down due to it not being correctly built for plumbing purposes. Redman Renovations allegedly claims it specializes in plumbing as well, but is not licensed/state certified. Had to reframe and finish areas that were left undone. Some of the drywall had to be taken down &/or finished. All the seams of the drywall had to be re-taped & redone. And the list goes on and on. BEWARE!!!! Don't utilize this business!
