We had an extended stay here starting in September of 2023. In Feb (25th) my husband became an employee there for the season. Per his contract rent and utilities were included in his pay. They have charged us rent and utilities and allowed another employee to harass my husband sexually. Due to this we left the camp and asked for our deposit back. They are refusing to give it back to us and stated that I still had a contract with them until the end of September. When we got there in sept I signed a contract with *********************, their general manager, but after my husband became an employee there was no need to sign another contract because of his work contract. *************************** is saying the work contract only applied to *** not anyone who lives with him. I have read every word of the contract, and it doesn't specify anything about a spouse being charged extra. It does however state even as a part time employee his rent and utilities would be waived. We have paid a total of $1248.25 Since *** became his employee and would like that as well as the 750 deposit we gave last October back. for a total of *******

Joes employment agreement was 20 hours/week for $150/week off of monthly rent, up to a $600/month discount, plus free electricity.  This agreement was clearly known and mutually executed from Feb thru August.  *** submitted signed timesheets indicating how many labor hours each pay period went towards his rent discount, and both *** and *** paid their remaining rent balance every month.

If our agreement was for full free RV site rent, why did *** continue to pay her discounted rent bill each month from March thru June if she was under the impression her full rent was free?  Why is this the first time she's complained about it?  The answer is because both *** and *** understood and agreed that during ***'s part-time employment period (end of Feb thru middle of July), ***'s compensation agreement was for discounted RV site and free electricity, not a completely free RV site.

Separate from employment, *** and *** both signed an extended-stay agreement on 4/12/24 to lease an RV site from us from May 1st through Oct 1st wherein the agreement clearly states a guest waives their last months rent deposit for early termination (i.e., early departure) whether or not they give written notice, which we never received from them and she departed early (Aug).

September 2024 was the last month of their RV site extended-stay agreement. Her extended-stay agreement remains in full force regardless of Joes employment status at the ********

Septembers full rent amount is $990 but we only retained the $750 deposit, meaning she still owes us $240 for September.  In good faith, we promptly returned their $250 utility deposit two days after their departure (8/18/24).

I am rejecting this response because: per Joes agreement on the top of this agreement it states this is a temporary agreement for a two week period.  He shouldnt have had to pay rent other than the two weeks from the date of the paper he signed. I have attached both signed documents again. Also because of this contract our deposit should have been returned once this contract took over. He has only paid *** 1 week out of every 2 week period as well as charged us rent when the contract states it will be provided free of charge.

    Sincerely,
