Last Thursday Feb 23, my mother ate a salad from Bozrah Pizza Restaurant. Later that day she was violently ill she had food poisoning. She continued to throw up the salad for 12 plus hours. When I called to inform the business the man who barely spoke English yelled at me told me that's impossible and then slam the phone down.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/28/2023

We received a call on Wednesday morning, regarding a food poising issue that occured almost a week prior on Thursday February 23rd.  The woman who called, ***** *******, explained to my father the issue of her mother falling ill after consuming a salad purchased from our restaurant, Bozrah Pizza.  My father, who is **************, answered the phone and I can attest that he did not handle the call correctly.  As I mentioned, my father is ************** and there is a bit of a language barrier.  I myself am the QFO, and was not at the restaurant yet that morning, however when I did arrive I was informed of the issue, and immediately contacted Mrs. *******. She explained to me what had occurred, and I apologized for the manner in which her concern and complaint was handled.  I asked a few questions, however with the incident happening almost an entire week prior, I didn’t have enough information to track our steps to locate any possible errors on our food-handling procedures.  After my conversation with Mrs. *******, the ***** Health Department inspected Bozrah Pizza and did not find any unhealthy practices in our food handling and/or prep and cooking.  It is never our intent for anyone to fall ill from our meals.  We’re a small family business and we try our best to provide a pleasant dinning experience for everyone.  However, we all still feel awful for how the initial conversation was handled, and we hope to strive to better customer service going forward.
