I brought my car to Midas ********** on 10/22/23 to have a charcoal canister and purge valve installed. The installation was completed and they charged me an extra $100 than originally agreed upon because of new clamps etc needed and the location of the canister. After I picked up the car it was making a strange noise previously not there with a new check engine code present. I brought my car back to Midas a few days later and they claimed they didn’t hear the car noise. They kept the car all day for a complimentary check on my car. When I went to pick up my car at end of day they were rude and aggressive and yelling unnecessarily at me saying they couldn’t reach me even though every time I called them I was put on hold, hung up on or told to call back and then to just show up. They put oil in the car but it was still making noise and had the check engine light on. Both times I had brought my car to Midas they gave me pages of b.s things my car needed including back breaks and drums I had just gotten. I brought my car to ****** who completed an inspection on the car and told me that when Midas installed the charcoal canister they broke the connecting fuel hose on the canister. The damage was apparent and would have been obvious to the mechanic had it actually occurred prior to the installation of the canister. ****** said that it would cost approximately $470 to fix the problem. I called Midas complaint hotline ************** a total of 4 different times, days apart to tell them this and each time they said they’d have someone call me back within a few days. The last time I spoke to them they hung up after I asked when will they call me back??? It’s been over a month/ almost two months with no response I have no working car, and I let Midas hotline know this. I’d like Midas to pay for my car fixed at ****** and pay for the repairs and reimburse the $160 for the inspection as well. I don’t trust Midas.m. It’s been too long and there has been no response from Midas

My car needed a muffler. My normal service station quoted me $700, I went for my oil change about 4 months later and the cost went up to $1,400. I was told the catalytic needed to be replaced. I went to Midas to get a quote. Midas' quote was $1,200 so I agreed to do it. I got a ride home from a person at Midas. About 1/2 hour after I got home, Midas called to tell me the cost would be an additional $1,000!!! I told them to put whatever they took off back on, I did not want them to do the job. A semi sympathetic manager said he understood why I would be upset but I need the converter. I told him it was supposed to be included in the $1,200. The manager seemed to be used to these complaints, was very calm. My original repair order total was $1,225.13, the adjusted repair order total after I told them to fix the amount back to the original came to $1,841.96. The new amount was adjusted by the employee that gave me the original quote, said it was coming out of his pay. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO UPLOAD THE PAPERWORK. I CAN FAX.

I brought my car into Midas, * **** ** ********** ** on July 25th 2022 to have a new differential ring and pinion installed. The car was promised to me for July 26, 2022. Midas kept delaying and putting of the performing of the job for a full 2 1/2 weeks. I had to purchase the tool for the mechanic to perform the job. When I pick up the car on Thursday August 11th 2022, I leave the parking lot with the car and almost immediately here and abnormal sounding whining or grinding in the rear end. I turn around grab another mechanic who is still there and hadn't gone home yet and took him for a test drive and let him listen to the noise. he assured me the noise is normal and is a break in noise that will go away after 100 or so miles. 150 miles later, the noise is still there and other people who are mechanics NOT with Midas tell me the differential should not make ANY noise at all if the job is properly performed. In short, I had to wait 2 1/2 weeks for a job that was promised to be a one or two day job. The job was performed poorly and there may be damage to my car. Mida grossly overcharged me a price of $850 for a job that is listed as a 5 hour job on the books. I want all my money refunded to me and any damages that occured because of a faulty install to be paid to me.

On Monday, 4/11 I brought my vehicle for an oil change, tire balance and alignment to ********* Midas. On my way home from Midas my car shut off while on highway and pulled over. The oil had leaked about 4 quarts. I called for a tow and brought my vehicle to my home. I called corporate Midas and ********* Midas while still on the highway following the incident. I was told by corporate I would receive a call back in 24-48 hours but never received a call back. My partner **** called Midas in ********* on 4/12 and Midas had my car towed to Midas in ***********. Prior to my car being towed my car had leaked another about 4 quarts of oil overnight. On 4/13 **** went to Midas in *********** for an update. The VP of the company was there and stated that he would follow up with **** the following day. On 4/14 the VP called at end of shift and left a voicemail that he would be in touch on Friday, 4/15. When we didn’t hear back we called and left a message. We called again yesterday, 4/18 and no response. At this point I still haven’t heard back from corporate or Midas in *********** after following up with them again yesterday. They still have my vehicle at *********** Midas and still no update. I don’t have a vehicle to get to and from work. Lastly, it is a 2015 ************* ****** ****** with only 68,000 miles in the engine with no history of engine problems whatsoever. It holds only 5.9 quarts of oil. I’m extremely upset at the lack of professionalism/communication. Looking for an update ASAP.

I am writing to you in regards to a severe incident that occurred at this Midas location. *** (my mother-in-law) went to your ************ ** location to get an evaluation on her CEL and other lights that were illuminated on her dashboard. During her visit, they told her it would be completed before 5:00 PM that day. However, it was not done until 5:00 PM the NEXT day after being told multiple times it would be completed that day. They blatantly lied to her face. Then, when returning to pick up her vehicle, all the lights were still on, and they informed her that there was a fire accident that ruined her right front fender. They offered for her to pay $200 to get a new one or take off $200 and still have the burned fender, along with all the lights on the dash that were not resolved. She called and brought it back for them to tell her that all it needed was an O2 sensor after being charged more than $2,000 and another $250 for the O2 sensor. This is extremely concerning. Why charge her for the O2 sensor and the fender that was burnt by YOUR staff when she just paid over $2,000? They also broke the part that they were supposed to fix. This is highly unacceptable. I expect an immediate response from your organization or I will be forced to contact my attorney. I have attached a picture of the burned piece of her fender.

Midas at ** ***** **** ****** *********** ** ****** gave me a false pre inspection report on a car I was buying, telling me they know the car and the owner. The car needed work, a few months and only less than a 1000 miles later. Total work done resulted in about $3600. I contacted them and they have refused to reimburse me. How do I go about getting reimbursed?
