I have an automatic deduction of $75 a month for massages. I put a freeze on my account and had to pay $20 a month to keep my sessions. They are telling me that I must pay continue to pay $75 a month or I will lose the 11 sessions I have. How is this fair that I’m going to lose my sessions when I have not had any services I’m throwing my money away and there’s no recourse. I am not rich or loaded. They are unwilling to work with me. Please help me. I got a promotion and I work in retail and I am unable to come in with the hours/ days they have available. They do not have many massage therapists. I don’t want to lose my money.

I had signed a 6 (six) month contract at massage envy. The contract was verbally convfirmed and reconfirmed at the time of signing that it was for 6 months, and that I would be charged $70 per month for the 6 month period and receive 6 massages. That contract expired in December 2021. I noticed that I am still being billed $70 monthly, 3 months and 3 payments after the contract was to end. I called and visited the location, only to be told a manager or owner would call. They never called oiur reached out to me. I have paid $210 (3 payments) more than the contract stipulated for three massages that i do not need or paln to use. I asked the staff to credit my card back for the money - they told me they need a managers approval. When I asked why they are still charging me, they said the "auto-renewed" the contract. I explicitly stated upon signing that this is to terminate at the six-month mark, ALthough they terminatated any future withdrawls from my account, I still was not refunded the 3 overpayments.
