I hired this company to perform duct cleaning services. They brought a shop vac into my house and stuck it down partway into the ducts. They went to the basement. I thought they were doing duct cleaning they did not. I brought another company in which found that there were animals dwelling inside the doctor work like I had suspected and told the workers and they also emptied those children's toys out. I do not have any children. I reached out to the owner who told me he would reimburse me Because I had to hire obviously a second duct cleaning company and pay them $700 to complete the work there is a part of the email where John Bowman the owner of the company states he will refund me. I have reached out two more times to him and he just ignores me. I would like a full refund of the money I spent.

Company claimed on quote (in writing) that I was to receive $10K in rebates if I used them to install my Geothermal system. After the system was installed, I filed my paperwork for the $10K and the system only will pay $7.5K. When I asked FF Hitchcock for assistance, they simple said rebates change all the time. I was not made aware that rebates "change all the time". I wrote them: "As far as the $10K as stated on the quote (for the rebate) and $7.5K in actual rebates ... Failure to disclose in writing that rebates can change at any time, while also stating a reimbursement rate in writing (on the quote) may interpreted as deceptive at best. Also, it may be perceived by a Client as a fact since your firm are the oldest in the area and would reasonably have expertise in rebates. While changing rebates may be the case, for the Client who may only have 1 transaction of this type in a year or lifetime - it is not reasonable that they would be aware of this. Therefore, if a contractor states any amount of reimbursement (as part of a bid), then fails to inform the client of the nature of rebates, then ex post claim effectively that rebates "change all the time" as a defense, effectively dismisses the question when raised by the Client - especially when it was part of a written proposal. I believe this is fundamentally flawed and blemishes your company's brand. "

We have been in contact with the customer.  We are issuing a refund for the difference between his anticipated rebate and his actual rebate.

I asked for service for a plumbing leak with my bathtub. They sent a nice young man with 5 years experience, but who did not repair things properly. After he left, and charged me over 500 dollars, there were leaks at nearly all the PVC joints he connected - bathtub to vertical down, 90 degree curve connection to horizontal, horizontal to down, and with the rubber connection to galvanized piping. He said it was related to a downstream obstruction and to call Rotorooter. After he left, I tested his joints and noticed the leaks. As a DIY, regardless of whether there is a downstream obstruction, the connected pipes should not leak. There should simply be water backing up at the proximal appliance and or tub/shower/sink/etc. I called ********** and asked for an experienced plumber, not just a "snake guy", which was more expensive. He, with me watching and helping dissasembled the - frankly, ****** connections - and used materials I purchased myself. All PVC, nothing fancy, purchased at a local Home Depot. [He had noted that he couldn't go there himself but had to use a distant resource for his parts because that is where the company had an account and he didn't want to put it on his own credit card.] Essentially, then, I paid Hitchcock for doing nothing substantive. I called them FIRST, before contacting ********** to fix it and they offered to send the same guy back. I said "no" - why would I want that when he botched the first job? I would like refunded, with a deduction at market prices for the parts he used. Basically for his labor.

I have investigated the service call and listened to the phone calls between the homeowner and our office staff.  We can refund the customer in full.  It appears that we did not adequately repair the tub drain during the first call and our technician’s level of experience may have been under suited for this job.  We have in the meantime parted ways with this service plumber because his work was not up to our company standards on a few different occasions.
