    I bought a 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible from McDermott ********* on July 26. 2023. The same day I took delivery of the vehicle it broke down with numerous mechanical problems rendering the car inoperable. The vehicle’s left front shock assembly blew out, spewing hydraulic fluid all over my driveway, the car’s front lift didn’t work and flashed a code, the key Fob would not operate and accessing the car became difficult., the transmission surged when attempting to climb gradients, there was an acrid, burning smell emanating from the cabin of the car, and the navigation system malfunctioned and would not hold a destination. The next day, the car was towed from my home to the local ********* dealer, ********** ********* of ********* *** ******. Once there, the Service manager confirmed all of the problems I had experienced with the car and told me it could take several weeks to acquire a new front left shock assembly to repair the vehicle. When I informed McDermott ********* of what was occurring with the vehicle, I was told by the Service manager, Joe, that he would contact General Motors to try and expedite getting the parts to Shumacher ********* so the car could be repaired. I heard from Joe twice, then I never heard from McDermott ********* again in regard to helping me get the car operational and on the road again. It appears once they get your money, they don’t care about what happens to you or your car again. McDermott ********* sold me a vehicle that apparently was not in any way road tested or checked to see if all the systems operated properly on the vehicle. If this had been done, then perhaps the problems I experienced immediately with the vehicle could have been remediated before my taking the car home.

    I came to David McDermott to buy a car because I only have 1 F-350 and a van for work, so I really wanted a small car for other things. They asked me for a deposit of $$ to hold the vehicle for me, and I could return the next day to sign the papers. So far, so good. The problem came from David when he told me that I needed to be at the dealership at exactly 4pm to speak with the finance manager (Jack), and that was exactly what I did. Even though I was working, I left everything to be there at 4pm. However, he didn’t have the same courtesy to be on time for me and made me wait more than 1 hour! I wasted my time and money because I couldn’t return to work. Anyway, I tried to call them so many times to talk to Jack, but he didn’t answer me. I am not even sure he exists! I gave up on buying the car and asked David for my deposit back, after all, it was money ! 40 days later, and I still don’t have my check back! Even if they have bank problems, how can you continue to sell cars and process payments and loans during this time? It doesn’t make any sense to me. Be careful dealing with these people.
