I bought a 2015 ***** ** * on feb 25 2023 They sold me a lemon car . Transmission blew 3 months in . Called and tried to talk to personnel in there and they are blowing me off . Owner has an attitude they don’t want to make it rite . This place from looking at reviews has had very bad incounters with similar situations.Initial Complaint

In September of 2021 I bought an 2012 **** ** from Car City LLC. for which I put a deposit of $5000.00 down on. Since the very first day I had nothing but problems with the car. We had driven it back and forth to fix the check engine light and the emergency brake switch and wiring was corroded and the car wouldn't pass inspected this went on for several months. When it was at the shop in July of 2022 I was in the process of refinancing and then the car was reppossed right at their business. They in return bought the car back and then resold it to me in November 2022 and I had to put another $4000.00 down. At that time I informed them of the same issues which they stated was corrected. After only having the car back for 2 weeks it stopped running all together so I had it towed to **** ****** where they informed me of water damage around the battery and the battery harness and all wiring had to be replace and it would cost me $11,000.00 for which my comprehesive insurance would not pay due to stating it was a preexisting condition. Since then it is now sitting in my driveway and Car City is refusing to fix saying its been to long, yet I had been trying to get them to take the responsibility to fix. I still owe $6621.00 on the car and this situation has cost me so much money in ***** to get back and forth to work..Car City knows that they sold me a lemon. I want them to fix my car its the only one I have. I wish I never went to them. They never even gave me a warranty. and I never received copies of repair orders. Back in 2021 ***** **** came to Car city to purchase her 2011 **** ** from. At the time of purchases ***** declined warranty due to her monthly payment. Since then Car City LLC worked on Laura's car multiple times regarding the issues she was having after she purchased her **** **. When she called Car City LLC with the problem she is having with the e brake and wiring, ***** said, her and her husband took apart the wiring harness and it was broken, Car City LLC still fixed the wiring harness, e brake was fixed and new brakes. All issues were addressed, fixed with no problem.
The issue ***** is having is not an ongoing issue, it's due to ***** abusing the vehicle and not taking proper care of the vehicle.

I purchased a 2012 ***** ****** from Car CIty in **** ******** ** on 11/17/2022 for over $10,000. The second day I had it, the check engine light came on. When I brought it to get it inspected, it was rejected. I brought it to the ***** Dealership in **** ************ ** to have it checked out, and they told me that it had been previously brought to them with the same issue on 9/9/2022 by it's previous owner. Their quote to fix the head gasket was $4000. I brought this information back to Car City, and they told me that they would only fix it if they could use their own mechanic. I stated that I wanted it to be fixed at the dealership as they know the car better than any private mechanic. They told me that if I wanted to bring it to a dealer to get it fixed, they would only pay half of the quote. They new the car needed to be fixed. They knew it required serious repairs and did not disclose this to me.Customer Answer

This is in reference to claim number ********, ****** ****** purchased the 2016 *** ******* on 3/16/2022 she had 60 days warranty on it. She is asking for reimbursement for a repair that was done by her mechanic on 10/12/2022 which is 7 month from the date of purchase. If she had brought the car to us we could have helped her with the repair but we can’t pay for a repair done at other repair shops especially if the car is out of a warranty. Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: I called multiple times before warranty was expired. Got through once and went to their mechanic who didn’t fix the issues. Called both places again and no surprise no call back. Yes I did take it to my mechanic because I want to drive a car I’m paying for. The car has not be able to get inspected due to the issues so you tell me why? I have added pictures of the car all torn apart. The mechanic said that the car was rigged together enough for someone to purchase and now I’m dealing with the aftermath of their poor business deals. He knows what he did! If he didn’t ignore my calls we wouldn’t be going thro this but because he did now I have to go to this extent.

The customer is seeking a refund for a repair she is doing 7 month after she purchased her car. If she wishes to bring the car to our shop we will be happy to help her. I am very sorry for the problem she is having but we can’t pay for an outside work especially if it’s done 7 months after the purchase date the warranty was limited to 60 days but we still could have helped even after the 60 days but the work has to be done at our shop . I am rejecting this response because: As previously stated I called several times the one time I get thro I got sent to your mechanic who didn’t get the issues resolved lights came back on the next day. Called both the dealer and the mechanic and nobody ever got back to me. I couldn’t bring the car to you due to the fact I couldn’t drive it with all the problems. Which if you answered me you would have known that the car would have to had been towed over. When I called your employees always said you weren’t in and they would have you call me back and you never did. You say any other problems let you know i couldn’t even get this major problem taken care of why would I wanna keep dealing with you.
