****** *** ***** ********** * *** had a 5 year contract with American Waste that expired 04/2023. I tried to cancel the contract because it has an automatic renewal and the customer service rep stated that only my sales person Dave S. can cancel. I left numerous messages with customer service rep Lisa & Suzie for Dave to contact me but he did not. I switched my services to a new company since I could not tell Dave directly about me not renewing the contract, they raised the price by $100.00 more and the poor garbage removal service I was receiving. Lo and behold after the cancellation period has expired, Dave finally answers my call and said oh he didn't get the message so now he cannot cancel. I told him I cancelled ahead of time. He stated that it is not his fault he did not get the message so I need to reach out to his boss Mike P*****. I tried contacting Mike p***** numerous times by phone and email but he will not respond. Every month that goes by they keep on billing me and they will not remove their dumpsters. The dumpsters is sitting in the back of the restaurant parking lot along with the dumpster of the new company. Per Dave, they will just keep on billing the restaurant for the next 5 years. I know I am relocating out of ** within the next couple of years so I would never resign a contract for another 5 years auto or not. A representative told me to put the termination in an email so I did and send it over. I even agreed to pay to January 31, 2024 but they said no, you are locked in because its not our fault your message did not get to the right contact. This is deceptive practice. Dave hid or claimed he did not get message until the cancellation period expired.
