      The worst of the worst. When trying to contact them via phone, their system sends you into endless loops. It's almost impossible to reach a real person. I filed a complaint by onine message and all i go were rude responses and "use chat". So these jerks expect me to sit here and type out long messages because they won't let anyone talk to a real person. Avoid this place at all costs. I'm nearing the end of my relationship with this failed institution. We used to have four accounts, entire family, we WILL get to zero.

      Don't use this bank if you value your time, particularly if you rely on online banking through your computer or mobile app. I have three business accounts, and they consistently lock you out for various reasons each time. Then you must call in, but only during their operating hours, and wait on hold for 15-30 minutes until they finally unlock your account. This happens every week or two. They apologize and claim they are working on the issue. I've decided I am switching banks. Who would want to deal with such a time-consuming institution? Furthermore, it takes about 7 days for your money to be available if you're incorporated. That's preposterous!

      Since I have received my mortgage from this institution, I have had nothing but problems with my mortgage payments. I am still trying to resolve my budget draft after six months trying to set it up only to find out it was never set up. They use a 3rd party to set this up and may you go through loops to change an email address.

      This organization has a problem as indicated by the many bad reviews. My situation is that a savings account being held there was deleted and moneys sent to State Of Connecticut due to being dormant. TAm Eagle claims they tried to reach me but I never recieved a cal, email or letter warning me about this problem. The money in my savings account is in custody of the State and I had to apply and prove Im the owner of the account. Its been 6 months and im waiting for my savings to be returned to me. Dont bother with this organization, Their communication and service is horrible.

      AEFCU put a block on all my accounts because they couldn’t verify or deny whether my account was inappropriately accessed. I had to open all new accounts and create new login information, but they put a block on all the new accounts without my knowledge or permission. In addition, I provided updated drivers license information multiple times, but they claim to never have received it so who knows where my information went.

      I would give a zero if an option as a small business owner. I followed all their instructions to obtain an IRS confirmation letter directly from the IRS with my business EIN #. After receiving the letter, I'm then told that they can't accept it because the IRS didn't include the LLC. The customer service rep at the IRS tells me it's a legal document & therefore cannot be modified in any way & they should accept along with the concord screen shot outlining the business! If your a small business don't waiste your time! VERY TIME CONSUMING to get no where!

      Well let's see... until you try to use the chargeback service they claim to provide, you won't realize how much they couldn't care less in assisting a valid dispute where I ordered 4 chairs online from ********* and only received 2 chairs. I have been trying to resolve with ***** and now with the ** *** **** Chargeback services since July 1 (almost 2 months ago) they keep closing the issue saying, we never received any documentation (well I faxed it 2x and snail Mailed 1x), or now the issue is that too much time has gone by... NO KIDDING? WHOSE FAULT IS THAT? I've been calling every week for a status... Can't speak to the group that actually handles the issue.

      I have a personal loan with American Eagle Credit Union, with a high interest rate of 14%+, when they gave me the loan they said when my credit was better they can lower my rate. Then it did get better much better I went to them to lower the interest rate and they said they couldn't lower the rate. Time went by and I applied for a refinance on my house with American Eagle Credit Union, I applied and never heard back from their loan dept. When I walked in the bank one day to make a payment on the personal loan because you can't get a hold of them on the phone , the lady I opened my account with said hi and said I'm sorry your loan did not go through. That is how I found out my loan didn't go through, no email, no phone call, no letter in the mail at all. In June I started a new job, I've been unemployed for 1 1/2 years, I tried calling them for several days from work, could not get through, finally I got through while pacing the parking lot for over an hour, and was able to make a payment on my personal loan. The problem is by the time when I was able to get through with my loan number, SS#, security code, address, pin number, and verified phone code, to them on the phone, my payment was several days late. now I have that on my credit report lowering my credit to 626, about 34 point short to get a loan to pay off all my credit cards and that personal loan from American Credit Union. This has been the worst experience I have had with any banking institution in the 61 years I've been alive. I would rather go to a loan shark than deal with them again.

      I’m moving my money. After reading the other reviews, I can only confirm that when you show up in person to clear up a hold on your account, the Manchester branch treats you like you’re the one who committed fraud. I was yelled at by one employee as she was angry for some reason- she said I was yelling at the teller. I’m hard of hearing and merely didn’t want to sit down, I said I’d wait standing up. The two of them were so rude, laughing at me and shaking their heads. Only one person was capable of helping me without being rude. I think it’s an indicator of bad practices due to bad social climate with employees.
