      Admittedly sells defective items. I bought the Maldives linen dress and wore it twice. The fabric around the seams started ripping. My tailor says it's not fixable, as it will keep ripping elsewhere. A compliant to Oliphant admitted a defect and a miss by quality assurance. They will not give me my money back. Do not do business with this company, they clearly have a bad product and a massive markup.

      The customer contacted us on November 26th about an item they purchased 6 months ago on May 20th. The customer said that they were experiencing tears at the seams on their dress after wearing it twice. After reviewing images of the potential defect, we informed the customer that the damage did not qualify as defective as it was consistent with a stress tear rather than a defective fabric. We informed the customer that we could not process a full refund on the item as it was outside of our return window and not deemed defective, and in an effort to remedy this situation we made an exception and offered her a store credit for the full cost of the item, in spite of it being well outside of our policy to do so. After the credit was issued the customer continued to ask for a full refund and when we reiterated our policy to the customer, they threatened to report our business to the BBB and ********** state attorney. We stand by the quality of our product and our offered resolution to this customer complaint. As a small business we are working our best to find the balance between providing satisfactory customer service and establishing consistent policies.
