SCAM ALERT! Even though we have canceled our service repeatedly, they continually charge our credit card. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

They made an unsolicited call and wouldn't provide the company info until they had a payment method. Only after thinking they made a sale did they provide a call back number and company address.

first of all how in the world do they have an A+ rating after all the bad reviews I have read on here. They are in violation of the TCPA act. They called me without my consent using a call center claiming to be Life secure medical alert from a spoofed phone number to gather all my info and CC info. then they transferred me to the real company behind the shenanigans

When contacting me to sell their service, they harassed me repeatedly. They weren't taking no for an answer, until I was driven to literal tears and a panic attack. I finally gave them my information to make it stop. When they sent me the device, I tried to send it back but they assured me it was not necessary for a month or so. Despite never opening the package or activating or using the device, they have nontheless charged me for their "service". I've sent their device back, again unopened. Honestly I barely even care about the money they've already charged despite my extremely limited income, I just want them to stop charging me for a service they haven't provided. I'd leave 0 stars for their rating if I could.

My husband ordered medguard for his mom for peace of mind because she lived alone. After a year or so she had to move into a memory care facility and we called Medguard Alert to cancel her service but because he signed a 2 year contract it could not be canceled. I think it ridiculous that a contract cannot be cancelled when you are dealing with the elderly. Things happen that we can’t control!

I believe that they prey on the elderly. My dad just passed and he had. Dementia and they said he just signed a contract. Too bad. WTF is wrong with people. He was not of sound mind, and I’m sure the salesman knew that. Leaving 1 star as it won’t let me post zero !!

After I received my medguard alert I was contacted by a representative to test it. It rang and rang. Finally someone answered it. I said that wasn't fast enough, so we tried it again... Longer this time. Third try no one answered at all. The guy said it was because we had called twice before. Hmmm. Later I told the guy that I didn't want it because their response time was too slow, their price was Higher than others with better response time. He said that he would give me a free month to think about it. I called back to cancel and requested my initial money back. He said that I was past my 30 day trial period and wouldn't refund my money. He also promised not to bill me further. I'm in process of returning the unit. We'll see what happens. I would hat to think of having a bad fall or a heart attack and they take too long to answer. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

We have been trying to cancel/close an account with MedGuard for over 6 months now and they continue to bill monthly service fee even though we have specifically told them to stop service because we mailed them back their equipment as they requested. They claim their company policy is either the customer returns the equipment or they pay the outstanding balance (including months after we said stop service) plus cost of equipment. Well we chose option one but they claim they haven't received anything as far as the equipment being mailed back. When i asked if there might be another solution because we refuse to pay for service after telling them to stop it and equipment we did what they told us to with it, they repeat their company policy. I can only imagine how some elderly people have been taken advantage of because of things like this! This company is just shy of extortionists!

My 88 year old mother fell in the rose bushes. She pushed her button 4 times. There was NOT any response from MedGuard Alert. None of her Emergency backup persons were called. She spent 4 hours working on freeing herself. This company has been taking her payments for years for the security of a moment like this. MedGuard Alert failed her miserably.
