Hotel refuses to refund my deposit which I paid a year ago. Keeps using false excuses not to refund me. I paid a deposit of $572.70 in May 2023 for a stay beginning on May 25, 2024. Deposit will be refunded if canceled 2 weeks in advance. (See reservation with cancelation terms attached). The reservation was canceled on April 19th, 2024. (See hotel confirmation dated April 20th, 2024 that I would receive the refund). The hotel first told me that I could not be refunded because my credit card number had changed. When i confirmed with **** that the refund COULD be made to my new card number, the hotel claimed I had already been reimbursed in October 2023, when **** wrongly put the charge into dispute - but then **** immediately reversed their actions. Hotel is now claiming they did not receive the deposit, which **** confirms they clearly did (see attached letter from ****). These are poor faith attempts to keep my deposit and I am learning there are others whose deposits are also not being returned.
