On 11/16/22 I purchased 4 bottles of wine at Campus Wine in **** **** ******** ****** ********** **. I shop regularly at this store. There was a hand written sale sign priced $12.99 each and I chose two of those bottles and a bottle up above with a small sticker for the price on the bottle. I thought the small sticker price was $8.99. I paid for the 4 bottles and went home. At home I looked at my receipt and saw that the bottle that I thought was $8.99 was $53.99. I called the store back and was told that you were not allowed to return liquor. I could not get a straight answer if that was a ** law or their policy. I asked him to take the $53.99 bottle back as I just left and i was a regular customer. He said no. I did not see any return policy clearly visible in the store by the register or credit card scanner. There is no return policy written on the receipt. Does a retail business in *** need to have their return policy posted for consumers to see? Please follow up on this for me.

We price tag each bottle when it costs more than $20, It clearly says on the bottle it's $53.99 plus we do have 8 inch display screen on customer side where they can see the product name and price with there grand total of there transaction, and we don't take returns cause we don't know how customers handle the product.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I do not dispute that the price was on the bottle. I did not look at the monitor only at the keypad. Does Campus have their return policy posted? The receipt does not have the return policy stated. I called the store within an hour after leaving the store to tell him about my error. They state that they have no return policy because they do not know what the customer will do with the product. Is a retailer required to post the return policy in where it is easy for the consumer to see? There is no note of no return on the monitor, keypad, receipt or entrance door.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******
