  My daughter has been part of the NMYB family for 6 years. We moved from another ballet school where she was not treated very well. Mr. Adam, along with all the other instructors welcomed her very warmly and we have never looked back. Mr. Adam is very intuitive and pays close attention to each and every student and therefore, provides excellent guidance to bring out the best in each of his students. My daughter was very shy when she first joined and he has managed to bring her out of her shell and become a very confident dancer and performer. We only have positive things to say about the school. Everyone should be surrounded with teachers who encourage students to work hard and achieve their potential in such a nurturing and positive way. Everyone is treated with respect and equality, no matter what race, religion or gender you belong to. We love NMYB and are grateful to be part of the school. Mr. Adam and Max are the best.

  This is an A+ organization. I have a daughter who LOVES to dance, and when she was about 6 years old, she declared that her dream was to someday go on pointe. We had been at a sweet local dance studio since she was 3, but I knew I needed to move her to a more specialized ballet environment where she could become strong and skilled since she was serious about dance. We found the NMYB studio in 2017, and I was most attracted to their philosophy that every BODY is capable of being an excellent dancer with dedication, passion and attention to instruction. NMYB is a community of superb dancers, of all shapes and heights, and I find this wildly attractive as a parent. You hope and dream that your child finds a community where they are welcomed, accepted and valued simply because of a shared passion, and we've found that at NMYB. My daughter feels so challenged and completely at home at NMYB, and as her parents, we are grateful, beyond measure, that she has found her people and her safe place. The founder, Adam Holms, and his full team of staff and instructors, show up day in and day out, going above and beyond the call, to ensure that NMYB students are fully supported as they grow as both dancers and humans. I could not recommend NMYB more highly!

  In the fall of 2019, my now 12 year old daughter walked through the doors of NMYB and she has never looked back. After trying out several local studios, our family chose NMYB for many reasons and it was the best decision we ever made. Technically, the instruction she receives from all of the teachers at NMYB is unparalleled. There is a gradual release of responsibility every step of the way-taking her where she is and coaching her to be the best dancer she can be. As an educator myself, I am in awe of the rapport the staff has developed not only with my daughter, but with every dancer from 3 years to 18 years of age. The progress my daughter has made in the four years she has danced under the guidance of Adam H**** and his staff has been truly remarkable. Secondly, we chose NMYB for the immediate feeling the studio gave us when we walked through the front door. Our daughter feels loved, accepted and safe at NMYB, both when she is dancing and when she is socializing with her peers. When a child feels that way in an educational environment there is no limit to what they can achieve. The staff at NMYB is always available for conversation or a meeting to discuss my daughter’s progress and next steps. A text, email or call gets returned within hours. Lastly, at NMYB there are many opportunities to dance under guest instructors from all over the world. NMYB regularly has teachers in from ******** ****** *******, and just this fall, teachers from NMYB’s sister school in ***** **** came up to bring students to perform in their phenomenal production of The Nutcracker. The opportunities for dancers at NMYB are exceptional and endless. Adam and his staff never stop working to create new experiences for the NMYB dancers. Adam, Max, Nadine, Emma and Yvonne are professional instructors who truly care not just about the end result but about helping NMYB dancers to become the best versions of themselves.

  NMYB has an exceptional dance program that has been a welcomed and essential building block in our child's life for eight years and going strong. The owners radiate an inclusive, professional ethic toward each of their students, empowering them to take an active role in their lives as dancers. Adam H***** utilizes an exceptional approach to his pedagogy which is supported by his advanced degrees that he obtained with the specific intention of bringing professional, New York City caliber training to lower Connecticut. We are so grateful that he, his administration, and staff teachers are so successful in creating some of the best children's dance performances we have ever witnessed.

  I adore NMYB! We have been at the studio from the beginning and am so grateful and impressed by the program. The owners put the child and the atmosphere of the community first, which is very different from other schools. The school has done a beautiful job of training intense classical dance education that rivals any in the industry while still building up the dancer’s self esteem, body image and joy of dance. I am only jealous that as an adult I can’t dance along with them. This is beautiful community that will make your child thrive!!
