***** ** I had a very similar experience in the store on 4/7/22. I was unnecessarily attacked by a male manager there in the same way and my furniture concerns were ignored. I left believing this to be about the worst I had been treated by a salesperson in a public situation. He felt he could get away with being rude, mocking me, etc., I was sitting in the car, calming down, when my daughter noticed he had not even given me his own business card! At that moment the same man came to the store window-he had followed me-to actually see which car I had gotten into, then returned to the rear of the store again. I have seen some salespeople do that to confirm their pre-judgment. I went back into the store to get his real business card, and to tell him that I was going to report him, when he attacked me again-this time claiming I had screamed in his store, etc., as though I had attacked him, or he expected me to. These things were untrue. Whereupon, he waived his hand at me to leave the store, and gave the impression he would get violent with me if I did not leave. He told me to leave again. I had gone in with a very friendly demeanor to make an inquiry. His nasty and derisive comments had nothing to do with the transaction I was discussing. Not once did he try to offer to replace the items, sell me anything, or consider that I could have made a large purchase. He moved right into this metalanguage of hatred which was directed at me to disarm me, make me feel smaller, or inferior to him. He was quite a large man! I have seen this aggressive personal self-display of power in various furniture liquidation scenarios by managers who are simply about taking extremely large amounts of money away from people and have no ethics. Right now there is no furniture anyway. This particular store is a franchise, so I guess they can get away with harassing people, using intimidation, and other tactics to qualify them using bias.
