      We originally hired Handyman Services Plus LLC, owned by Ryan P*********, on 10/1/2023 to complete a bathroom repair project. That job quickly turned into several other jobs as he kept offering to fix/repair/upgrade other areas of the house. Ryan insisted on obtaining half of the money for each project upfront and in cash. Throughout the project, costs kept increasing for one reason or another, yet no receipts, bill of materials, or other accounting documents were ever provided by him. As the work expanded, the completion of the jobs stopped. They would begin new projects and tell us that the previous would be completed soon after but that never happened. Overall, they were hired and paid for 10 different jobs throughout the house and only completed 3. Several pictures have been attached to this post to show the poor craftsmanship and unfinished work that we are now forced to fix ourselves. The largest job was to install mini-split AC units throughout the house, which was quoted at approximately $24,000 overall and he demanded $18,000 upfront as a deposit, which we provided on 10/19/2023. On 11/5/2023 we were told that the units he originally quoted us on had gone up in price and more money would be required to purchase them, or we would have to go with cheaper and less capable units. Since he was no longer capable of fulfilling his end of the contract terms, we asked for the deposit to be returned on 11/24/2023. Ryan stated that he would not be returning the deposit money because he had a 3-day refund policy (no such policy was written on any contract he provided, nor does this type of policy apply to a deposit) and then promptly cut off all communication with us. We have attempted to contact him repeatedly, as did the SWPD and our attorney who sent a demand letter on 1/5/2024, and no money has been returned. This is a clear violation of 20-427(b)(8) of the Home Improvement Act, for which a suit is being filed in Superior Court.

      Did not cleaunup after installing a new roof at *** **** ** ** ********** ***  The job was completed on 12/8 and paid in full. Ryan P******** promissed to clean up but then stppped responding to calls, emails and text messages.

      On March 17, 2023 I made an $8,000 deposit on a 10 x 24 Deck build. As they were working on the deck I put a second deposit of $6,000 down on replacing my driveway. When the deck was completed, at the end of March, it was only 10 x 16 so I talked to Ryan and he agreed to take $800 off the driveway for the smaller deck. The deck was mostly complete, they had a few pieces of trim and small items to finish up but knowing they would be back for the driveway I paid them the remaining $6000 for the deck. At first Ryan was staying in contact and told me they wouldn't be back until the beginning of June to finish and start the driveway. The last correspondence I have received from him was on May 12, when he said they would be back in June. I have repeatedly texted, emailed, and called with no response. In addition, Mike from ** ******** ********* worked on the deck with Ryan, in fact he uses pictures of my deck on his ** ****, I also reached out to him with no response. At this point I still have 2 unfinished jobs and $6800 in deposits that have not been returned along with left over supplies around my house.

      An estimate of $17300 was given by Handyman services plus, LLC on 3/17/22 for cutting and patching existing driveway, installing a drain and pipe from the front of the garage, removing stone, and installing new section of driveway. 3/19/22: $11000 payment was paid. Work began the following day on 3/20/22 in which drain project was started. The workers damaged one of garage doors in the process, but trench and drain were installed in concrete. We were told that the next step was that they would be coming g back to rip out the old driveway and getting asphalt laid down. They have never returned to compete this job. Because of the drain, we have been unable to use our two-car garage and we still have a pile of rubble In middle of our driveway. We were told initially that the reason for the delay was that the turbo was being fixed on their dump truck, but recently, we are getting no response from them. We have been unable to use our garage or complete this project for 3.5 months. We would like the money back, so that we can have some one come and fix the driveway. The company has not responded to any of my recent calls or voicemails. We would like at least $5000 back for the unfinished work.
