We had a terrible experience with CAFD. We purchased a ** stove and range hood 2/10/23. The range hood vibrated excessively and leaked ventilation back into the house at the time of installation (3/2/23). The installer suggested we might need to work with ** Service / CAFD to address the problem. CAFD told me to contact ** Service directly, I would have thought CAFD would help with that step. ** Service came to our house on 3/20/23 and ordered a new fan assembly which was done on 3/29/23. This did not resolve the issue. ** Service would not issue a replacement range hood without reconfirming the problem. They sent a tech out on 4/18/23 who gathered details, video, etc and shared with the engineering team. We were told ** would contact us in 24 hours with the status - we were not contacted. We called ** back and were told the replacement had been approved and we'd hear from a ** Service Case Mgr. Instead of a call from the Case Mgr, we received an email telling us that the approval was misstated. The range hood would not be replaced. They considered it "non-repairable" since they considered it having nothing wrong. We then reached back out to CAFD with our complaints (3/1/23). They said they would try to rectify the situation and sent out the original installer again to verify the installation and status again. He determined the range hood was problematic. CAFD worked with ** to arrange for a replacement, which was originally scheduled for 6/16/23 and rescheduled to 6/21/23 as the hood was not yet received. On 6/19/23 CAFD rescheduled once again to replace the hood on 6/28/23. At this point we have no confidence or trust that CAFD was serious about making this right. We contacted them and told them to cancel the replacement completely, as we no longer will do business with them in any way. We hope our experience informs others to think seriously before doing business with Connecticut Appliance and Fire Distributors.

*** ***** we sincerely apologize for the problems you have experienced with your range hood. Sisto Salzillo, our owner, did reach out to you and left you a message to notify you that once the hood lands in our warehouse, we are still willing to replace it for you if you are so inclined. If you should change your mind, please contact us and we will be happy to rectify this situation. Sincerely, Andrea Salzillo, General Manager
